I brought a Royal Doulton Bunnykins plate for £1 at the Car Boot Sale today. It's printed with the "Ticket Office" design. The only one I can find online has a different back stamp and seems to be on white glaze rather than cream like mine. It is selling for £6, so that's a small profit.0

Couldn't face going to the big car booty this morning , it was too flipping hot, so popped to the small local one,
got 'the elves of middle earth gift set' (contains 6 figures) for £4, its on Amazon for £89.00, so bit of a bargain.
Also got a pc game, 'Return to mysterious island' for 50p, I've been playing it for the last hour and its really good0 -
Some really good buys, I love reading this thread and hearing of all your bargains.
There wasn't an awful lot at my local carboot today, but I did manage to get a few Ben 10 figures for my little boy yesterday and a couple pairs of Jeans for both my little boys today as well as a new lap tray for my OH.Competition wins - 09/03 - £500 ELC Vouchers 11/04 - Lush Goodies 21/04 - Gillette Fusion Gift Pack 22/05 - Mirrors DVD 29/05 - Return Flights to London & £500 29/05 - £50 Homebase Gift Vouchers 20/09 - Remote Control Helicopter 28/09 - £225 Bingo Win 05/10 £25 Photobox Vouchers 16/09 £90 Cash 30/11 £29 Cash 03/01 £20 03/04 Fifa Football :T0 -
I went to my local hospital's summer jumble this morning with my mum ...was made up to find two red "Jelly Belly" branded jelly bean dispensers for £3 & a cupcake shaped cookie jar/large trinket box for £1.00!
I've not long moved house, and am going for an american diner theme in the kitchen so I was chuffed with my finds...! :T
My mums a SEN teacher and managed to get some ELC toys in brilliant condition for the children ...oh & a "vintage" Sindy doll for herself! (She's always preferred Sindy to Barbie!)
I hope you all had lots of luck this weekend!0 -
One good buy in a CS this weekend - a little brooch, about 2" long, set with a red stone and 2 tiny grey blobs. A bit dirty, but it had a safety chain (always a good sign - they weren't put on rubbish!) and it was only £2, so decided to give it a try. After a clean, it turned out to be 9ct rose gold (the mark was rubbed but still legible, so I don't know how it was missed) - about 1900, set with a garnet and two mussel pearls.
So there are still things out there! Happy hunting, everyone!0 -
My Dad bought a painting on Saturday at the Car Boot sale we did. He paid £4, after taking it apart we've found evidence that it might be by quite an important painter. Going to take it to a local auction house to see what they think but a quick check online showed that one of his sold for over £500 back in 2005.0

Bought a perfume bottle for £4 at a local car boot thought it was unusual and had seen others at about £30 so put it on ebay and received £180? Haven't a clue why it went for so much and was worried in case it was scammers, lady that bought it said it was a rare 1930's bottle and she would be selling it on! Good luck to her I say and I was a very happy bunny. Holiday fund now at more than £10!!0

I'd love to see a picture if that perfume bottle, in case I ever came across one like it on my travels!0
