Wow you all find such amazing stuff. All I have found is a Mystery Club book for 10p which was to help complete my childhood series but I may already have it, ah well for 10p I can't complain.

Does anyone know any great charity shops and carboot/jumble sale locations either on the Wirral or Liverpool they would be happy to share. These are pretty much my budget at the moment. Thanks

    Hi

My best buy this weekend was a James Lakeland dress BNWT for £3, they are well over £100 in the shops and was perfect for a party I went to on Saturday!

We have been having a sort out so hoping for goos weather this weekend so we can sell at our car boot, just have to make sure I still get to have a look round!

  • Hi, I won a bundle of womens clothes from Ebay for 59p + £2.85 p&p (1st class). Seller sent it 1st class recorded and it cost her over £6! The clothes were lovely, regatta, kickers, Miss Selfridge. Seller has FB 869, so I don't know exactly what went wrong, lol. Feeling abit guilty now.

    Hello!

Had an unexpected hour in town today and had a rummage around the charity/second hand shops.

Vintage Levi's customised into shorts with studded pockets and long black tassels (Great Glasto festival attire) £2.50
1950's St Michael pink ruffled dress (£5)
1970's purple and black cotton sundress (£5)
1950's silk Atomic print scarf 50p
    Indian fancy blouse 50p
Handmade black patent court shoes with keyhole heels (£5)
...and SCOPE have some fabulous TopShop jewellery at the moment for £1 an item so spent a fiver on 5 pieces I'd wanted earlier this year.

Hopefully it will stay dry for a weekend booting bonanza!

Been to our local charity jumble/fund raiser which sells everything twice a year - clothes, books, DVDs and videos, toys, furniture and bric a brac.
Got a brand new with tags black Next dress for 20p
    Breakmaker hardly used £4
Miss Sixty black lacey top - 20p
20 recent paperbacks @ 5 for £1 (great for reading and giving back for next sale or donation to another charity)
2 suitcases for 50p each (useful for carting everything back)
Brand new set of curtains still in package £2.50
Old fashioned child's weaving loom from the 60's still in the original box - 10p. I had one as a hand me down, but it was lost years ago.
Last year they sold a spotless 3 piece cream suite which had cost £3500 for £50.
They always have some wonderful retro furniture from people who have passed away and the families don't want it.
The dealers are always in the queue to get the best pickings, and come back at the end to take away the left over donations to flog at car boots and e-bay. They expect to get them for nothing, but the organisers have got wise to this and give all the helpers a box of stuff to take home and drop off at the local charity shops a bit at a time. That way the charity shops won't turn it away - if they think it's jumble left overs they refuse to take it, however decent it actually is and how much they might get.

Just came back from my local jumble sale and saw a " Clarisonic " I looked at it and thought it was a massager and walked away. Hour later i went back in the electrical section and had a better look, and see it was for the face. Paid £2 for it.Brand new with a tube of daily cleanser and Dermaglow wrinkle remover .Just looked on internet for manual and see its priced between £150-175 ! Its brand new.Just charging it up.Cant wait to use it.
My god the Dermaglow cream is $100 on its own. http://www.skinxpert.com/instant_wrinkle_eraser_dermaglow.htm
I expect to look 10 years younger soon .

i am so jealous of your clarisonic! I have wanted one of these for ages but can't quite justify the price, if you hate it i'll purchase it off of you :). Let me know if it is any good! Great work!
