Didn't find much today, got to the boot sale at 9am 9opens at 10am) and the car park was already full and they had let people in over an hour early so no bargains left for me.

All i picked up was some childrens clothes 9GAP, Boden, Next) 50p each, a flower press for my daughter and a bag of Brownie Uniform and books. I only spent 10.00.

Goanmad - I read the book you recommended on your blog (Alligators, Old Mink & New Money) and really enjoyed it. Trying to find some similar holiday reading but without any luck so I wondered if anyone can recommend something. Here is one I really enjoyed - a mix of vintage clothing and the history behind the garments http://www.amazon.co.uk/Vintage-Affair-Isabel-Wolff/dp/0007245823/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&s=books&qid=1275343366&sr=1-1

Just remembered I also got two DS games for my nephew at the bootsale today - £2 each. A nice present for him to open from the postman
And a blue and white striped nautical shift dress from Killah (Miss Sixty) for £2
Not been here in years! Hi everyone. Make £10 a day challenge = £78.45/155

Ooh brilliant thanks Goanmad - I'll send you a PM. I would have sent you my copy of A Vintage Affair but I left it in the library at the hotel in Ibiza for someone else to find. I have a couple of others I've picked up at bootsales so if any of them are good I'll send one back for you

I forgot to add I bought the most gorgeous old green thick glass bottle on Sunday at the bootsale - its sitting in my window gleaming away in the sunlight. Its got a bit thick stopper in the top - looks a bit like Whitefriars

Wow, great bargains. I've never been to a car boot sale. Are there any good ones in London?
  • My friend recently bought a bag of shoes from a charity shop for £3.
When she got it home there were a genuine pair of UGG boots,River Island shoes and lurking at the bottom was a Genuine 'Jimmy Choo' handbag!!!
Needless to say she thought it was christmas lol!!:T:A:rotfl:

Nipped in to local charity shop very quickly today on the way to catch a bus - glad I did as I got 3 boxes/sets of late 1980s lego for £2 each (the sort of sets that sell for about £20 each).

2 of the boxes have extra vehicles/small sets in them - so i'd estimate those two boxes at about £60 if you were to buy something similar today. Those are going to my nephew. :)

The other set is currently going for about £25-30 on ebay so that's where its going :D (he's only 4 he'd just lose the bits anyway, and he wouldn't be into the 'country cottage' as much as the police vehicles anyway lol)

Just got the most gorgeous summer dress from one of my local charity shops :D It's a pink and white gingham pinafore style dress from Zara, with a raspberry and leaf print. Possibly still a bit on the pricey side at £7 (I had to scrape my purse for change!) but it's so me I had to have it. I need a whole new wardrobe for dresses now!

Here's hoping the weather stays nice so I have a good excuse to wear it! :j

I love reading about all your great finds so it's nice to be able to contribute again rather than be a full time lurker ;) Bargains have been thin on the ground as of late but this has more than made up for it!
