    Hi all

I've been lurking here for a while and am stunned by what you all manage to pick up!. I have found a few nice things in charity shops but nothing like you lot!
I suppose you have to have an eye for what to look out for which I clearly haven't got. What do you do with all your finds keep them yourself or ebay them?

I think I'll go to a car boot sale and try my luck there!

    Hi magic57!

Speaking for myself I don't go to boot sales with any preconcieved ideas of what I want. We just relax and have a leisurely walk around, if we come back with a bargain so much the better.

I don't look at every pitch. I check the seller out first. I don't waste my time sorting through toys, kids clothes or overwashed high street stuff.

As I prefer vintage and retro pieces I favour the older seller who looks like they're having a declutter. We also make a beeline for sellers who drive vintage VWs, usually just for a chat but occasionally they have spare car parts or unwanted camping equipment.

Have fun and don't forget to report back any finds.

    Thanks goanmad

I mentioned going to a boot sale to my son but instead of buying today I got dragged along as a seller as he wanted to clear out all his old toys!
No time to look myself but we had a good time and the attic looks better for the declutter.

I'll pop back next time on my own!

    :)

my daughter picked up a juicy coture bag for £5, and it cost over £100 when new. A quick wipe over and the bag looks like new, and shes the envy at collage.... if only they knew where it came from.

Also found baby phat jeans new for £4

Bargains to be had at the local car boot sale - one mans junk another mans tresure.

Also some more fancier VGC Matchbox/Hot Wheels and a Shark Bite Bay Hot Wheels Play set (2 x50p for cars and £1 for set) which will be wrapped up for DS's birthday.

Our three boot sales were rubbish this morning so I didn't get much at all. A few books for 20p each, some CDs (3 for £1), nice pair of new tagged Capri pants for work this summer and a gorgeous 70s Frank Usher dress.
