It wasn't that either. I had free postage.
As I said in my post, M&S were not able to offer an explanation, just an apology and an adjustment to my refund.
If I was wrong, and they were right, why would they give me more money back?0 -
I placed 2 orders, one (the first) still shows as awaiting despatch. They have both been delivered. As I suspected, I have odd ones, having ordered 2 (for twins), but this time there are items missing that appear as checked on the parcel summary, and 2 things that I did not order, have not received, and as their paperwork doesn't show prices I don't know whether I've paid for them.
I phoned CS, who were very pleasant, but who can't get into my account at the moment to check or refund.
So check your paperwork even more carefully than usual.
It's not the first time I haven't received 2 of something (and they were in stock when I ordered them) - if it's relevant to anyone else, CS suggest ordering each one separately rather than ordering in multiples, which apparently makes it more likely that you will get everything. They are not holding their breath for the repeatedly promised real time ordering system.0 -

Thanks for posting - will def check paperwork carefully - that is if either of my orders ever arrive :mad:
First one placed Monday night and haven't heard anything and second one placed Tuesday morning - both say 'being despatched soon' on the website0 -
Just to let everyone who has an account showing 'Items to be despatched soon' know, your items might actually be on the way. Five of my six items have just been delivered (ordered Monday evening) - even though my account states that they have not been despatched yet. Not sure if the 6th item is on its way or not but pleased to get these.

And now I have had an email apologising for the delay in despatching my order, which is apparently due to most of the items being out of stock. I wonder whether they are the things I hadn't ordered and weren't in the box and I might or might not have paid for?0

the other annoying thing I have found is that I did a non-sale order through quidco. waited and waited. I called and 2 of the items were out of stock and that was holding everything up. The guy took the 2 items off and i got the order but cos the order had been changed my quidco was refusedMSE convert, trying to save the pennies!:T Darling Z born 03/06 and Darling M born 03/09. I've ordered - quite annoying that the free delivery offer didn't work, despite me spending over £100. Would have spent enough to get their free nominated delivery date if they hadn't had so many out of stocks on several items I was after.
Hopefully these lines will then be available at a later date again (annoying that I added them to my basket, but as the site was slow by the time I came to check out, other people had obviously purchased them!)
Got confirmation email, so hope to get my order by mid next week.0
