Well they've charged me for the first order but not for the second duplicate order yet :D (I'm sure they will though)

Yes youre right really - they should get the order collected from me and refund my card but to be honest from previous experiences with them (this has happened before) I would rather get rid of them in the store and get my correct refund to my card there and then.

You could keep quite for 6 months and then they're yours;)
  • As I have just come out of hospital I did not get my order in untill the Tuesday morning but I have the dispatch email saying everything is coming and I was able to order a dress my daughter wss told was out of stock.

I placed 2 orders on Tuesday morning one to be delivered by nominated delivery tomorrow and one later for standard delivery which estimated the 14th.

The order which is nominated to be delivered tomorrow is still showing as not despatched and the one which the delivery estimate was the 14th is showing as despatching soon?

Not sure how M&S prioritise their despatch

I placed my main order before 10.30 on the first evening, then another the following morning, which I was pretty sure I wouldn't get. I have had a despatched email for the second order, but the first still shows as 'to be despatched'. The last time this happened I lost the first order entirely, and was told I should have queried the discrepancy sooner. So I rang this morning and got absolutely nowhere.

I thought I had learned the hard way to expect no sense from their system, but was overcome with inexplicable optimism this time.

I know exactly what you mean. Every sale when I place an online order I am so disappointed when I don't get some items, yet I try again the next time, only to be disappointed again!

I don't think they have a scooby - it sounds very disorganised - this isn't the first time I've recieved a duplicate order either.

Both my outstanding sale orders are showing as despatching soon and the order I have already recieved is the only one that is delayed and customer services tell me they can't cancel the duplicate order cos it's already been despatched (doesn't say that on the website though )

Oh well - looks like I have 3 lots of Per Una bra's and thongs surplus to requirements on their way to me once again for the bargain price of fifteen quid if anyone happens to be in need!
  • I had an email from M&S this morning to tell me that an order I placed 2 weeks ago for Per Una lingerie (arrived with me on Monday) had been delayed

Phoned them and explained that I had already recieved the goods and they advised they had been despatched again!?
So I have to take the goods back and get a refund apparently.

My other 2 sale orders she confirmed were on their way and the status has changed on my account online to 'coming soon' so looking hopeful ish?!:D
Bit off that they're expecting you to do the running around, but I suppose at least you got your stuff, even if their system wasn't able to keep up- If their system is going to make mistakes I guess it's better to get more than you ordered than have nothing at all turn up.

Just a warning to those of you taking back items from online orders.

Check your refund amounts very very carefully. I spotted that I had not been given the right amounts back and emailed them. At first they said they were right - so I explained my calculations. Total price paid minus refunds came to a few pounds more than the cost of the items I had kept! They emailed back apologising and have now given me some money back.

However, as the refunds are automatically calculated, it suggests to me their calculations are wrong.

It's made me decide to go back and check previous orders. Going to do that tonight.

    it's the 'T'AKE VAT' calculations...:j

I've never ordered in the M&S sales before, wish I'd noted how iffy it all is. I placed my order the first morning and am awaiting a despatch email still. Oh well, as long as they don't charge me shipping if they deduct some items and make my total under 30 quid, I guess I can't complain. Think I'll skip the next one though, lol
