I am sooooo disappointed.
Dont be soooo hard on yourself, none of us are perfect, we all have set backs, just do your best, thats all is needed. If you dont reach your goal one day, try the next.Back tracked and taking the other fork in the road, it has to lead to a better place than the other one did0 -
Aww brokemedic don't be mad - virtual hugs on their way to you.
Just think you may have spent more than your budget but how much more might you have spent if you had had no budget at all. I'll bet you are still spending less right?
Also although we set a budget on here there are some things that are simply unavoidable - did you fail because of things you couldn't have planned for?
Next week is your week to be green I'm sure.A smile enriches those who receive without making poorer those who giveor "It costs nowt to be nice"0 -
Another spend of £1 today (On the biggest biscuit ever)
Total spend for the week was £2.200 -

Keep going - I found it has taken ages for the MSE mindset to sink in. Also if your weekly spends are for everything perhaps consider splitting your budget up into groceries, going out, and then just random stuff (like magazines) then you can cut back on the easiest stuff first - I now avoid all magazine aisles.
True I hope you are feeling better today - I've only ever had one migraine and really don't want anymore.
My final spends were £9.75 for this week so I'm green, yay! Most of it went on coffee whilst out and about so maybe I should buy a flask! I'm now skint until payday so I'm going for £15 for next week to include Saturday - this for going out and incidental spends.0 -
Thanks Tixy and lossed...;)
I think part of the problem is when I go out with non-students who used to know me before I became a student.. they expect me to still spend in the same way I used to and I do.. if that makes sense. I guess I need to start saying "I can't afford this anymore."
The other problem is I don't go out as much as I used to - trying to cutback and save money and lots of homework. Then when I do go out and have a drink (or two) inside of me, I just go for it and my money-saving ways goes out of the window:mad:
I also feel a bit frustrated as well as I don't seem to be making the dent in my debt that I initially was.. it seems to have levelled off as I didn't get paid the overtime I was expecting this month.. think my motivation has taken a bit of a nosediveOne debt in 100 days £384/1264(£865 left)Pay all your debt off by xmas 2014 £276/18864NSD 4 and 4 in a row0 -

Purple for me this week - a big £0 spent :money:
No chance of repeating it next week though so can I budget £18 for next week please. This is to exclude my hair appointment on Friday as that is already budgeted for :cool:A smile enriches those who receive without making poorer those who giveor "It costs nowt to be nice"0 -

I bought a small flask from Ikea for about £3.00. It paid for itself in two days. I had no idea I spent so much money on coffee/sandwiches at uni.. (think it was between £30-£40 pre-LBM...I was spending a fortune. Now I really resent paying for one and will actually forgo one if I need it.
Buy a flask.. you can get funky looking ones really cheap..
Think I need to reconsider my budgets.. that way I won't feel so pants every time I fail this challenge
