Not going to be a NSW here as I spent a whopping 70p today. I recently got a new role at work and it was our first team meeting. Everyone got lunch from the canteen and I didn't want to be the pauper eating soup (As that's what I brought with me for lunch) so bought lunch. I did buy it using the £2 off coupon from the loyalty card in our canteen though so 70p for a whopping big baguette
Oh dear F_F there is always next week. What did you have on your baguette? How is the new job going?
NSD for me as I bought some food but that was all out of the grocery budget. I have also refused a night out (to see Super Fury Animals) in an attempt to save money for my other exploits later in the month. This left me feeling rather virtuous on the MSE front:DWeekly Spend Challenge: £0/£30

Spent a whopping £1.50 today at WW buying some sweeties (all in a good cause) still on track, planning two NSDs before I'm off to Birmingham on Friday.Debt free 11/05/11!
Savings £4000/ £3000 -
I've spent 91p today making my total spends so far £23.51 - I have £6.49 left.
(I've just realised that on my previous post, I managed to subtract £22.60 from £30 and end up with £6.40 ... this should be £7.40. Is this a bad time to admit to being a trainee accountant?!):www: Saving for a deposit - Target £30k by 24/03/14 (30th Birthday!) :www:
Current Savings - £18,153.11 / 60.51%0 -
I caved and bough some midget gems for 69p today but can justify it because I still haven't put the heating on (and I've been soooo good recently
)!!

Do you think they should change the name of midget gems to something more politically correct like 'vertically challenged' gems?Weekly Spend Challenge: £0/£30

I have £10.35 left. Had to buy a couple of bday cards today..looked in the expensive shop and none i liked, certainly not at £2.20 each anyway! Got them in the British Heart Foundation Charity shop instead for £1 each, go me!
I also got tempted by the new Heat magazine which had Katie Price on the cover (i think she is great, im deffo Team Price!) and they were doing an offer to get a big bar of galaxy for £1 if you buy any magazine/paper so i got tempted by that too...oopsy!Slimming World Member - Started 05/02/150 -

You and me both I could see my breath this morning in the bathroom but I am refusing to put on the heating as it is only Oct. Also our boiler is a bit dodgy and I cannae afford a new one they are big bucks.I have £10.35 left. Have you had a look at the Warm Front scheme? I got £4,000 to spend on heating improvements from them, just waiting for my nice new energy efficient boiler to be installed!!
