Quick question though, why do some of you leave Saturday out of the budget? I think that's probably the worst day of the week for spending for me so I'm not sure I'd get anything out of this challenge if I didn't include it!
I didn't originally start this challenge just sort of carried it on and that is how it was already set up. I like that I have Friday night and Saturday off as I often do my food shopping or go out then so I can spent some of the money I have saved during the week on treats. Recently I have a weekend budget and a weekday budget which is all very confusing but so far is working for me. If you think Saturday will be your down fall then include it, that is the best thing about this challenge you can do it how you want.NSD for me again today, again due to the migraine although at least I'm out of bed today (not for long though I suspect)
I experienced a proper migraine for the first time last year due to back problems (who knew the two things could be connected) so I hope you are feeling better because it is horrible.
I'm really chuffed as yesterday was my 3rd NSD in a row. I nearly bought some chocolate in the afternoon but resisted.
I've broken my duck now though - as I was late this morning so didn't have time for breakfast. I bought a sausage bap at work - £1.20 for me today.
Nay mind - heating still off and the sun is shining.
When I first read this I was confused about why you had a duck and how it was broken then I assumed this was a cricket reference is that right? (these things confuse me sometimes:o)
OK spends for today were £2.50 on lunch from the canteen at work as I got home too late last night to sort out lunch and £3 on a book about MIT students beating the casinos in Vegas which looked exciting in FOPP.Weekly Spend Challenge: £0/£30

Despite knowing nothing about cricket, I think you're right.
Mr Fresian confirms this to be true.0 -

The world of the tinterweb can sometimes be confusing but as they say everyday is a school day. My dad likes cricket and I think a duck is when you get bowled out without scoring any runs and if you are the first player and this happens it is a golden duck. What is weird is, that until I saw that I didn't even know I knew that. Funny what is stored in the dusty recesses of my brain.

I am in same position. NSD challenge is helping me avoiding unnecessary weekly purchases when the occasion comes up etc... however Saturday I will be out of work and hitting the shops for catching with birthday and christmas presents

Hi
I agree weekends are really tough I found that with dieting. I have worked it into my budget I have a monthly budget for eating out which since July I've realised I come in under budget but it means that coffee and cake whilst shopping is planned for as is eating out with friends which is the bulk of our socialising.0 -
I'm including Saturday so that any money I don't spend during the week can be spent then on a nice takeaway or something. Looks like I'm cooking this Saturday ...
I've just checked my bank balance - I think from next week I'll need to lower my budget to £20. But on the plus side, I had a NSD yesterday and still bought £7 of makeup in Boots (gotta love advantage card points!):www: Saving for a deposit - Target £30k by 24/03/14 (30th Birthday!) :www:
