Hiya I would just like to say "hello" someone suggested i visited this thread, as i have issues with overspending. I have just joined this site this week and have a lot to sort out. No idea how your thread works, but i'll look in daily and pick it up as i go. is it ok to post my own thing as long as i'm posting buget amount and money spent or do you have another way of doing it ?
thankyouBack tracked and taking the other fork in the road, it has to lead to a better place than the other one did0 -
Another NSD for me yesterday. Today is looking good too.
It's been really chilly up here for the last few days but we still haven't put the heating instead we've lit the woodburner which makes the living room nice a cosy in the evening. I'm determined not to put the heating on until November.Proud To Be Dealing With My Debts - DFW Nerd 323

After working out how much I was spending on them per year I was appalled. This year I am making my own - I'm not hugely time rich so I've bought ready made card blanks and ready made toppers and glue them together - they look lovely. I'm hoping to do the whole year for £15 and people always appreciate them more than shop bought.
Doing well with the spends this week, so far only £1.80 on tea!0 -

careful card making becomes addictive and can become a very very expensive hobby, take it from some one that has a bedroom dedicated to crafting!:rolleyes:0 -

Heehee this made me laugh! I'm only 5 foot tall and refer to myself as vertically challenged all the time!
Another £3.49 spent today on hydrocortisone cream due to an unexpected viral infection - nice. I guess I should start budgeting for medicine, especially with winter coing up and me prone to catching anything and everything that's going around.
£3 left to last me the week now! Would have been less but I managed to scrounge a free sandwich at lunch from a meeting buffet.:www: Saving for a deposit - Target £30k by 24/03/14 (30th Birthday!) :www:

My heating is not on either yet, although we do put the gas fire on an hour about 8-9 pm. Nearly a NSD for me, but I need bread, so that will be £1 spent. I'm at the time of life where "hot sweats" are the norm, so i have my own built in central heatingBack tracked and taking the other fork in the road, it has to lead to a better place than the other one did0

Still resisting the heating and a NSD today - due to not getting out of bed until now! Blimmin' migraines, wish they'd go awayPaddle #8 DFW Nerd #12840

This is my first week back after a bit of an absencebut I generally pop onto the new thread (We get one each week) and tell Pointy how much my budget is for the week. I then (try to) update daily with my spends.
For your info....
NSD = No Spend Day
NSW = No Spend Week
Well done for joining the site and taking on a challenge right away. :T0 -
Hi All
Reporting in - well I had 3perfect NSDs Sunday, Monday, Tuesday
Today I bought catfood (but that's groceries and doesn't count and the cat has lost a tooth so needs 'soft' food) and 2pens for work. However I have decided I'm going to claim the pens back on expenses (I'll wangle it somehow!) cos I'm not prepared to risk a potential purple week :rotfl:A smile enriches those who receive without making poorer those who giveor "It costs nowt to be nice"0 -
Combined this challenge with NSD and managed 4 in a row
Heating is not on and hoping to postpone for longest time possible. Central heating has pressure problem (for the last 2 years ... yes I know, we'll get round to getting it fixed) so we are using an electric one (last winter bills were horrendous for a flat). Flat below us is now occupied so we should benefit from their heatingMFW on your mark0
