    Just laid over.
I had about four sheets of chipboard on the joists for walking on but I just left them down and laid over.
Another idea might be to take some photos of the loft before you lay anything.
That way you can see where it`s safe to walk if you ever have to go up there.
You need to have a walkway at the very least to your tanks and plumbing, even if it`s covered.

I know this offer has now expired, but if you go to The Energy Saving Trust and pop in your postcode, it will come up with all offers in your area.

I have managed to get loft insullation and cavity wall insullation for £49 each for my 3 bed semi !!

are the rolls easy to cut please? marked or perforated etc?
what do you use to cut them.

p.s, just rang local build center again, they have my order, just awaiting stock. said theyre getting 3000 rolls delivered and hoping some arrive on monday???
i will ring them on monday am again. i ordered 16 rolls for 50 m sq.

3000 rolls divided by say 20 average per customer = 150 customers to deliver to.

They will cut very easy with a saw or indeed large kitchen knife.

My hubby used to work in the oil/gas industry and said the guys just used to cut these with a long sharp blade.

100% yes and carry to loft in wrapper as well to make it easier to carry, or cut in loft to avoid mess if possible.

  • rang up the dulwich build base branch yesterday and they are expecting a big delivery this week so lots of customers
  • Build center:mad::mad::mad::mad:

When I placed my order I asked for delivery on Monday. No contact from them so gave one of the local branches a call on Monday to see if it was going to be delivered.
They had my order, but no stock, said they would give me a call when back in stock, I say fine I am in no hurry.

Out for an hour this afternoon, no missed calls.

Return home and find my car blocked in by loft insulation left part way down the drive. To make the situation even worse it is 100mm when I ordered 170mm and one roll missing.

It is so heavy, that I'm totally unable to lift it, and have had to roll each one into the garage, so that I can use my car.

Disgusting way to treat customers, it may be cheap but I totally regret ordering now.

BTW not forgetting the terms and conditions of the offer, including to not sell on to another individual and that someone can be liable to pay the full RRP should they be found to be in breach, including reasonable costs, expenses and delivery. (lol)

I know and you can actually see on the wrappers E-on and Build Centre (lol)

I suppose you could give it away and the other person could ebay it.
