    Morning all,
Off to the shopping centre shortly to stock up on dog food-poor lads been on rations as it was running out-had to make sure we all left bits on our plates last night to eke it out.

Slow cooked chicken for tea ,not sure if DSons will be in or not as they are not yet up.Molly you have my sympathy-I think our two have grown out of this now they are in their twenties (being sick I mean, they still like a drink  )
Right better go,DH waiting to go,he hates the retail park when it gets busy on a Sunday.
    Havea good day everybody.x

    Morning all

((((Tiredmum)))) at least he will get the proper help now.

Lovely day here if a little chilly. Had a very nice evening visiting friends last night and got home very late, so a slow morning this morning.

Decided not to do roast for dinner and having fish instead as OH "really fancies" some:confused: Suits me, it will be a lot easier.

Think we shall go meet DB and DSiL this afternoon as we haven't seen them for some time.

    Have a good day all

    Hi Guys,
Thanks for your support. Not sure what to do with my sons bedroom carpet and chair/bed as its such a mess. I mean Im a midwife with an exceptionally stong stomach and I dont know where to start:eek::eek::eek:

Any ideas? I cant afford to chuck it all but I feel I may have to. I did make him help me but he was still intoxicated.

Yes, chuck the lot. Then let him sleep on the floorboards, or save up and buy himself a new bed. Why should you pay for it???

    Morning everyone :hello:

Having a lovely morning here. Have set up my table and chairs beside the hen run so I have spent most of the morning drinking coffee and watching my ladies. :D They have settled in really well and they make me very happy. :j
We've been invited to a tea party later so I've baked some brownies and carrot cake muffins to take with us. Have also prepped the veg for tonight's roast beef (2.4 kilos reduced to clear) (carrots, broccolli, roast spuds, sweetcorn and parsnips) Will make the yorkshire batter in a bit and then it's nearly all done.
The girls are upstairs in disgrace after making cards in my study without permission and covering my hard worked on and beautifully printed accounts in glitter and fake snow.
Want to get lots done today as I am having a full week at home next week and want to spend it in the garden and teaching myself to crochet. ;)

Better go and clean up the kitchen mess.

Thinking of BB's family and Tired Mum. xxx
Hope you feel better soon Molly. xxx

  • Hi Guys!

Where has the morning gone? Didnt have a good night but feeling a little more with it now.

WM has been on and hung outside. DW has been on and emptied. OH has prepped the roasted veg of carrots, butternut squash, sweet potatoe & onion. Have par-boiled a cauli to make a cauli cheese and cooked the chicken in the Remoska for later on. Stuffing prepared and spuds peeled for roasties. Think we are eating around 3.30, so will put the oven on in an hr for veg, roasties and cauli cheese.

House clean and tidy. DD has a few chores later to do and OH did most of the ironing yesterday, so the pile looks alot manageable:D

    Hope everyone is well.

    Hi all

Late post today. Have done washing, ironing for the next few days, BM on, casserole for dinner sorted (from freezer), all OH has to do is some mash & veg as I'm at work this afternoon. Will probably miss X Factor but hope to get home just in time for Emma - did this book for A level and loved it!

(((hugs))) to all who need/want them.

Sorry to hear that Ceridwen. I have to say I have always found you to be fair and kind. Just take heart from the fact that you are a better example of how someone should conduct themselves. Don't let it spoil your Sunday.((((((((_))))))

It's cold again here in London. After an early start of crumpets and a Carry On film was going to toddle off to the Back Show as I get a bad back sometimes and have free tickets including a massage and goody bag but I don't know if it will be worth the fare to Earls Court and back as nobody has posted any reports on here yet. So prob will try to save money and not have the tv n pc on and just read.. wish I didnt have to have the light on in the day - that galls me - but we have a tree outside the window n tho it can be lovely with birds etc, it makes the room darker.

Dinner tonight will be cheap plaice as I picked some up 2 large pieces for 99p in Tesco and a lovely treat as last night I had value noodles..

forgot to say....I ordered my wedding shoes yesterday:j am trying to do it in stages over the year.
I want people opinions on something...I cant do links so you will have to Google it. Google " Fleur wedge" and you should get a wedding site about veils. The fleur wedge is the birdcage veil I am thinking of having but am worried people migh think it looks a bit mad:rolleyes:
I have a glam art deco style 1930s dress and wanted a retro glam headpiece to match...instead of the usual tiara.

Just had a look and I think it is lovely. I didn't have a veil because I didn't want a traditional one, I just had a tiara, but I am loving the trend at the moment for fascinators/hatinators and smaller veils and think I would probably have had one of them if they had been around/in fashion at the time!
  • Hi everyone!

KB- I hope your arm gets better soon

NoahsPennilessMummy- the fleur wedge looks stunning

ceridwen- all the dehydrating sounds fun! I tried to dry out some slices of pear in the oven last week but it didn't quite work-i think i needed my oven slightly hotter.

Molly41- I hope your son starts being more responsible soon, have you told him how it makes you feel when he comes in drunk and vomits everywhere?

Well, today I need to do my cleaning, and scatter conkers everywhere in the hope of detterring the bloody spiders  i hate spiders!

    Take care everone!
