I don't what the answer is about tomorrow. I feel that maybe you should get a dr's note and take another week, but you probably need to get back for Monday for end of month accounts?

Oh dear about DD :( she could be acting out because of all the changes in her life at the moment, including seeing her Dad. I know my friend's son is acting out badly because his Dad is immigrating to Australia. He is going to look for a job, then schools and somewhere for his family to live. Then they will go out to join him.... but how long this will take? The boys are already reacting badly to their dad not being around and he is not a good dad.

I think I am going to work. I have now calmed down from the initial panic reaction. Sent a text to BF but he is busy. He is so good most of the time by keeping DD occupied during the weekends, feeding me nice food and letting me sleep but now couple of times when I have been close to breaking down he hasn't been able to come here and that makes me extremely sad and lonely.

But I always bounce back so nobody takes really notice as they think that oh she will bounce back, she always does. So I shall bounce back and go to work tomorrow. Must text collague and tell her as we do a rota of McD brekkies on Fridays and I don't want to miss out. Small mercies.

I have now pinpointed two things that are making this situation worse: the thing going on with the council and the thing going on with ex. For the first I really need to write that post into new threat and get action plan sorted. Tempwich (sp?) has given some advice but I have said what she (?) said to council and they are just denying it. Need stronger actions and need help with it.

Second issue is more difficult. Ex now wants me to contact this mediator he has found. BF was going to contact her but I don't think he has made lots of progress with it. (I need a PA.) So I need to decide if I will go to mediation and hope that we can sort things out and that I can trust him then to stick with that agreement (yeah and pigs fly) or go to court meaning finding a solicitor etc... The second option would buy me more time.

And at the moment the fact that I should be studying is unnerving as well. I have time but my first mock exam is due in couple of weeks time and I don't want to miss that opportunity and also I don't want to have mad last minute panic of revising like I had last time.

And I am kicking myself for not having sorted out my bedroom. I will get it done over the weekend. I should have BF here to help me to turn the bed around (it is blimming heavy).

So four major things to do. Sigh. At least DD realised today that I am not having any tantruming from her so we had a good evening.

Thank you for hugs and good wishes. They are truly appreciated.

I have forgotten to eat so better go and rummage through the cupboards as I am getting hungry.

going to do you a letter of formal complaint over the weekend/Monday (hubby away all next week working so will have plenty time to sort it) to send to the council don't think there is much chance with the van fee but the visit fee and redemption of goods fee should be refunded

    few questions first
do you know the date of the liability order
do you know exactly how much you paid against this before the van fee
who did you pay council bailiffs
if bailiffs did they add a charge for making payment

do you have the bailiffs name who levied your car
do you have the bailiffs name that attended your property and charged the van fee

were these fees written on the notice of seizure of goods and inventory

27/3/2009 Attendance to levy fees 24.50
    Levy fee 36.-
    Redemption of goods fee 24.50
I am not an expert I am self taught i have no legal training any information I post is based on my own personal experience and information gained from other web sites

just write what you are feeling, been doing, etc.

I like your idea of doing things in 15 minutes bursts. I still haven't got around to doing it .... :rotfl: but someone who came across your blog, who doesn't know you have a diary on MSE, may find that inspirational or helpful.

To me it is helpful, I just haven't implemented it! That is my downfall.

I think once you start writing you will find the ideas come naturally, or it will flow, or someone may make a comment and that leads to something else.

    few questions first
do you know the date of the liability order

According to the bailiffs it was 13 November 2008 (however I have never received a copy of it). Balance due was 369.81 plus 65 council's collection fees. I have paid the collection fees to council.

do you know exactly how much you paid against this before the van fee, who did you pay council bailiffs, if bailiffs did they add a charge for making payment

4/3/2009 first visit from bailiffs, charged visit cost of £24.50
27/3/2009 second visit from bailiffs, charged levy fee £36.- and redemption of goods fee £24.50 (they valued my car as £550.-)
30/3/2009 I wrote to the council to update my income (which affected my council tax benefit) and asked for updated council tax bill which I go. The old outstanding balance was in the new bill as opening balance so I thought it was inclueded in the payments but it wasn't which I found out during the next bailiff visit
7/5/2009 charged van fee of £180.-
7/5/2009 wrote to bailiffs and council telling about my depression, nobody took any notice
8/6/2009 paid to bailiffs that came around again with my debit card (money that I had put aside to pay rent) £400.20 (of which £15.39 went towards card processing fees)
10/7/2009 paid to bailiffs as bank transfer £50.-

I later made a payment to council together with then current year payments. The balance remaining outstanding was 198.- because I refused to pay for the van fees and for more than 24.50 for first visit and 18 for second visit.

When I moved out in the end of October 2010 I paid my balance minus 198.- and 65.- for new recovery costs. I never got a reminder for the missed payments neither I got a letter saying when the court day was scheduled to be.

Now on 26/2/2010 I got bailiff letter through my letter box claiming that I owe 356.- which includes 24.50 for their visit, I can't for the life of me understand where this balance comes from.

After that I paid council 198.- but still didn't pay that 65.- and got bailiffs around again on 15/3/2010 saying that I owe them now 107.50 which basically would be that 65.- plus 24.50 for first visit and 18.- for second visit. AAAAARRRRGGGGHHHH.

Is there any way I could get that 198.- back and that I wouldn't need to pay any more. This is not helping me to get better at all.

do you have the bailiffs name who levied your car

    S Mingle

do you have the bailiffs name that attended your property and charged the van fee

    J Van Schalkwyk

were these fees written on the notice of seizure of goods and inventory

27/3/2009 Attendance to levy fees 24.50
    Levy fee 36.-
    Redemption of goods fee 24.50

Yes, except that now going through my paper work I can see that there was mention of the ATL already in the document put through my letter box on 4/3/2009

Getting organised feels soooo good. I have been shredding paper and only taken breaks when the shredder has heated up too much and refused to work.

BF was here couple of days to sort out the house. He did mahoosive washing up and got my washing up to date. However there is now another pile of washing to sort out. Also still need to put the clean ones away.

DD was sick last night. She first woke me up at 2ish (new time) complaining for tummy hurting and she had wet herself little bit. So I got her changed and gave little bit of children's nurofren even if it was just for placebo effect. Then some time later she woke me up asking for water and then about four in the morning she woke me up because she had been sick all over her bed. Had to get her changed again and get her to come and sleep in my bed as hers was too wet to even put clean bedding on.

Needless to say that a firm email went to ex about feeding her all sorts of rubbish. Her bedding is now in the wash and luckily she was feeling ok by lunch time and ate some. Need to get her washed so that we can go out but until lunch time she was complaining that "she didn't feel like it".

So better get a shifty on before it gets too late as we still need to buy something for our tea.
