So where has a week and a bit gone
It has been busy at work and then at home I am doing replacement activity by manically stitching to finish my cross stitch kit instead of (in no particular order):
a) sorting out my bedroom to start doing Zumba (that would also support my target of doing my paper work as that is where my piles of paper live)
b) studying
c) sorting out the mess with the previous council and bailiffs.
Weekend had its very lows and very highs. Ex is still messing me around despite us using the contact centre. He wants me to go to mediation but I am not convinced of the impartiality of this person that he has found. BF is going to call her as a potential client to find out more before I call her. After that I will email ex and try to get him understand why the arrangement that we have is in place and one final time ask him to respect it. To be honest at the moment even if we go to mediation and get something agreed I don't have high hopes that he will stick with it so I might be better off just to go and bash it out in court. Especially as if he keeps acting this way he is eventually going to just play it into my hands.
The high moment was going to Crufts. It was truly amazing. I have been there before but somehow this time I got so much out of it. I had such a good conversations with some of the people presenting their breeds in the discover dogs area. I was tired when we went there but just got really energised. So these last two days at work I have been a bit resentful as after work I just feel drained and thinking that if I was to be able to spend all days with animals how much different I would feel.
Talking about work. They have agreed to pay for my studies. That is arond 500 pounds per unit and I have 6 of them left. So basically tax free pay rise. However if I leave the company before 1 year after qualification I need to pay it back and if I leave after 1 year but before 2 years I need to pay 50% back. So I have been thinking that as I had budgeted to pay that money myself I am going to now put it into ISA so that if I do get the opportunity to change my life and quit my job to follow my dream I will have the money available to pay it back. And if I end up staying there then I have money in the bank to treat myself for something lovely. For example going to a retreat to spend time with some wolves.
I have so much to talk about kennel club, breeding standards, puppy farming, gun dog trials etc but really too tired now. I should start working through my study materials but unfortunately it has to wait until tomorrow. Must go to bed and get some sleep."Everything will be alright in the end. If it's not alright, it's not the end."

What a great idea Marru, about keeping the money in an ISA. I hope you get to go to the retreat with Wolves. That sounds really nice
actually quite envious if you do get to do it. xx

Ok I have made a decision. I am going to see GP tomorrow and ask for a week sick leave.
I am feeling lot better but feeling overwhelmed and exhausted. Bailiffs had been behind my door again last night. Good thing I didn't find the letter until this morning. I am not able to sort all these things out and work at the same time and they need sorting or undo all the recovery so far. So the plan is to tackle the most important things using the 15 minute rule.
Just need to go to work tomorrow to do all the VAT returns. Then there shouldn't be anything else urgent until the next round of month ends start.
I am feeling tired and restless at the same time. Also I think I have a tendonitis on my righs wrist. And no, I am not resting it.

Sounds like a good plan to me.

I did it. I have next week off. WOOHOO!!!
So plan is to tackle following things in 15 minute bursts:
Todo list (on top of it the bailiff stuff to sort out)
Filing
Clothes piles (clean and dirty)
With rewarding myself in between with 15 bursts of one of these:
Reading
Cross stitch
What ever I fancy
Also I am hoping to do some studying but as it is a sick leave if I feel that I need a nap, I will have a nap. I am feeling so relieved.
I am going in tomorrow just to tie loose ends so that I am not worrying about work while I am off. Tomorrow evening is for stitching and comic relief. Then Saturday morning we have Saturday school and going straight from there to BF's. Going to do some den building with cubs (DD will be so excited) going for an Indian meal in the evening with BF and his friends (potential MIL is baby sitting). Sunday is for chilling out. And the regime of getting on top of things while resting (let's see if I can actually make it possible) starts on Monday after I drop DD to school. Phew...
Must go and feed the monster, she is waving can of tuna in front of my face..... :rotfl:"Everything will be alright in the end. If it's not alright, it's not the end."

I was happily doing bank reconciliations excitedly waiting for my break next week when I got email from our FD asking me to go and have a chat with her. I felt awful and scared. So finished my banks and went to have a chat. She was really lovely and supporting and complemented me about how I am dealing with my situation. Told me not to worry about the last review files and go home straight away. Also she told me that I am entitled to free counceling through the company if I feel that I need it.
I feel a bit funny now. Because I am not as ill as I was month ago I feel that I am actually making a big thing out of nothing. I am home now feeling that I am skivying (sp?) from work. But on the other hand I am upto date with all my work (apart from those last 3 review files) and the busy time won't start until I am back and even then I have plenty of time to prepare for it. I know that by taking this break I will do better job when I go back. So there. Have I managed to justify it for myself?
I am not going to start my task list today. The minimum I am going to do is to get some washing done (we are not going to be here over the weekend so better get a head start with that) and then write down the things that I a) must b) would like to get done next week. And the rest of the time is allocated for reading/stitching/sleeping.
Now off to put the kettle on...
PS I have found out that my avatar is actually a picture of a cross stitch kit. I might just have to have it... :rotfl:"Everything will be alright in the end. If it's not alright, it's not the end."

how great you have supportive Management. Better for them to support you and have you return to work fit, then have you have nervous breakdown and be off for months.
How fitting is that about your avatar?
you rest next week and achieve what you can without overdoing it and making yourself worse.0 -
