I too have had no issues when I have phoned & asked for an extension. 2 days is v short notice though. Ideally, I would like:

ABA-I's payment method (brings excitement back to the postie coming :o)
    RE's selection method
    Bare's pay
    GR's questionnaires
    Gap's clients

ok, so I'm joking about Gap :rotfl:

I have to say I'm getting really annoyed with TNS sending emails this week. I've had 6 today!!! I keep getting loads aimed at 18-21 year olds and others for over 25s and I'm 23 so I can't even do them.

Can anyone help please? I've completed a chemist for RE and when I go into it to submit my answers ....someone else's answers are already there! It's not the same scenario though.

Do I just change it all and overtype it, or is this a mistake?

The problem ABA-i seem to be having is that one one hand they state that all jobs need to be completed when released but yet jobs will quite happily sit there for 2-3 weeks and not be picked up, or as in my case, situations arise out of your control so you need to release it and pick it back up.

The staff today started sending very arrogant emails with no request for a reason (even although my actual reason was being stranded in Aberdeen due to flooding at the start of the week) and threats for a strike off. I am awaiting my call back from a Senior Manager at ABA-i because frankly, if this is their new attitude they can kiss bye bye to me completing jobs requiring 240 mile round trips that they like to phone and ask me to do because no one selects them.

I think the issue with ABAi is that they're a small outfit (or they seem so to me) and so they want to start getting results back asap. I don't know what goes on behind the scenes when they receive our reports, but I'm sure it's not just a case of pressing the "forward" button on an email!

So, whilst they may well be able to wait a few weeks for some jobs to be done, they don't want to be waiting weeks for them ALL to be done. Their strict deadlines frustrate me a little but I can see why they do it. The longer in advance that you allow someone to book a job, the more chance there is of something happening that means they can't do it. With the ABAi jobs, you can go out and do it within minutes of accepting it (indeed I once complete a jewellery visit to and had the results submitted back to them within 30 minutes of accepting the job).

On the flip side, I have on two occasions needed an extension to filling in the results for visits. Once just by a day, once by three days. Both times they were ok with this.

I don't know why you've encountered a bad attitude from them, as I've dealt with a few of the peeps there and always found them to be nice to talk to (and email to), maybe you just caught someone having a bad day - no excuse, but it happens to us all from time to time.

Th best thing to have done would've been to ring them and ask for an extension, the liklihood is that they'd have said yes, particularly is you regularly do jobs that are 100's of miles away.

Maybe think of it like this, what if, when you cancelled the job, the account manager received an email to tell them. They then immediatley pickup the phone to call another shopper to ask them to do it, only for them to receive another email saying you've re-booked it, just as the other shopper was agreeing to do it. Highly unlikely, but possible...

Take it on the chin and call it a lesson learned.

    Same here Lil_Me,

I very easily be the MOTHER of a 21 year old, as it happens i'm the mother of a almost 16 year old, who has been involved in my MSing since he was a wee boy & in his opinion its bad enough he's had to go with me on jobs never mind him doing that when he's old enough.:eek::eek::eek:
I worked for Gap a long long time ago:mad::mad::mad: & used to do all the Glasgow Post offices after collecting him from school, I had a lot of explaining to do to him as he couldn't understand why I was telling LIES to the assistant & it wouldn't have been the first time he attempted to correct me during the assignment :eek::eek::eek::eek::eek::eek:
If its any consolation Gap used to ring me & ask me to do Post Offices that were in the Highlands cos I was near ie I lived in Scotland. They don't seem to have improved their geography any :eek::eek::eek::eek::eek::eek:

I have had an extension on one ABA-i job this week, I called for 24 hours and they were absolutley fine, I explained my son was off nursery due to illness and I would complete the following day which I have. They were fine and pleasant.
:money: giving me & my darling boys a better cheaper life :o:A
