Quick question , just got a 12 shop circuit with BARE and I read that I had to phone each one and tell them I was coming to look at the cars now this seems a bit daft to me , Has anybody else phoned up before ?

Maybe I should just do and have done !

It is useful to phone up and make an appointment to see a salesman because if you just turn up you can be left waiting for ages and also in my experience the visits take longer.

I don't usually ring them. I did for the 'other' car client, as the feedback from the phonecall was part of the questionnaire, so needed to ring them as part of the mystery shop.
  • Cor, it's really quiet alert wise today :(

Oh I see ABA-i staff are developing an attitude problem about rescheduling jobs. They are sending out very threatening emails if you dare to cancel then reselect a job, basically stating you will be struck off their books for daring to do it regardless of reason.

Can I suggest to anyone who gets an email like this to immediately request a call from a Senior Manager as I have had a blistering email exchange about this all afternoon which has culminated in removal of clients and a very poor attitude from from ABA-i. My partner also suffered the same thing this afternoon.

Abai have always been my favorite and I do a lot of jobs for them but someone has had an attitude problem over the last few days!

I have always included the date that they say the job must be done by to do the job but looks like you can't anymore.

thought I would share with you some of the reporting issues I have had over the years (more recently though!)

Gap petrol assignment - This was not my first petrol one for them - I had read the notes initially when I started and had asked via enquiry if it was OK to purchase diesel - and had confirmation. Yet I got the query back on a job much later stating I was not allowed to buy diesel!!

Gap again - Pizza assignmensts, followed the brief and bought the required items and commented on items, another guest came with us and ordered (which has never been a problem before and is expected - as they ask if you take children and it is permitted in the briefing notes) - You guessed - Queried the purchase of additional items.

Retail Eyes - I had 2 reports returned for clarification because of a lack of comment, despite the selection only requiring comments if negative.

Retail Eyes - Meal out - purchased a dessert (singular - and shown on receipt as one dessert - a waffle IIRC), Commented on the ice cream saying it was icy. Query advising that I should only comment on one dessert?

TERN - Glasses enquiry - Poor feedback score on a job following an assistant who went "mm, hmm" (with an upturned inflection in her voice) when I asked if they suited. I described this as "making positive noises" in the comments - which TERN reckons I should have put "she said positive things"??

RE - Visiting a cafe and it was closed - I had the third degree on it asking why was it shut, was I at the right place, was it the right day, was I late.... without maybe asking the client - Luckily always take pictures of events like this!

I always look forward to the next reason for something not being right!

    I always buy Diesel

Whoops! As I was heading for lunch today , aka MS 3 of 7 on my schedule, I got caught in traffic, and was starting to worry i wouldn't get there in time for my burger slot. But it was ok. At least it was until I got to the food court and realised I'd gone to the wrong shopping centre, and there was no way in hell I had time to get to the right one! Guess I'll be joining the 'sacked by gap' club!
  • Hi Hope someone can help

Doing an RE casino tonight, there is no restaurant but I have to get a drink at the bar.

How do I get a receipt or is one needed?

Try paying by card. They have to give you a receipt by law.

We'll need to agree to disagree - I manage to juggle 20 - 30 MS jobs a week with a full time job as well with no problems and have done for 5 years. If ABA-i are wanting jobs done on a specific 3 day window then they usually put that on the jobs. To start shouting about a deadline which doesnt exist until 2 weeks time is petty and has never proved a problem with them in the past.

wow u must be superman lol! i have done 13 this week since mon as well as working full time and i am exhausted!! none at the weekend thank god, nice rest for me!
