Petrol won't make you have the steaming runs...believe me, I've had to siphon enough of it in my time and got a mouthful of the stuff. Can't say that it does wonders for your breath, but it certainly doesn't give you the symptoms you describe.
I'd also suggest that sudden onset of the runs and vomiting which is then quickly contracted by family members is far more likely to be something like the Norovirus than 'poisoned cola'.
Other than this thread having massive amusement value, I am rather saddened to see that someone who is supposedly on death's door with food poisoning still has full wits about her to enquire about compensation :rolleyes:“Don't do it!
