I have had a gob full of petrol on more than one occasion and other than my breath stinking of petrol and anything I put in my mouth tasting of petrol for a while never had any side effects and certainly not D & V.

Why not do something about the issue you had? ie. send the cola to be tested and then if it is not that you have ruled out one possibility
