There appear to have taken the refurb ones off apple at the moment!!
  • The whole refurb store is closed at the moment.
  • ... and it's open again - same stock.

I ordered two 2gb Nanos yesterday lunchtime, and received both this morning. One of which is an excellent replacement for the shuffle which didn't quite survive the washing machine last week!

    Thanks padwap!:T

Yes - except for the packaging, you can't tell that they are refurbished.

Cost aside, I'd rather have a refurbished ipod. I agree with a much earlier poster who said that the refurbished ipods are much less likely to go wrong as they have all been tested. Whereas new ones are tested on a sample basis.
In our family - out of the five ipods which we have had (3 new and 2 refurbished), two of the new ones have been replaced by Apple as they stopped working.

Of course, it could just be a coincidence.:)
  • So a 2GB IPod Nano is compatible with the Ipod radio - total cost £100. Has anyone used the Ipod radio remote and can recommend it?

We have a refurbed 4th gen 20GB photo IPOD and can highly recommend purchasing off the refurbed store.

if you mean the FM transmitters shrimp_stu - just get a cheapy fm transmitter off fleabay and it'll cost much less than the ipod specific ones. It just plugs in your headset socket.

and of course you can use it on any device then.

The 2Gb Nano for the 'better-arf' just arrived - and I only ordered it yesterday. Excellent when you consider that delivery was included in the £65 price tag. Shame it's not in the retail packaging for when she opens it on her birthday but she can't have everything (can she ?).

    Thanks again to the OP.
