Is the ipod nano 2 gb a good deal....sorry to appear a bit dense but I don't know much about ipods...am buying for a pressie!!!

I was going to get the 'better-arf' one of the new 1Gb Shuffles for her 40th this year but a 2Gb Nano for an extra tenner delivered must be a bargain. I know they're refurbed units but it is an official refurb and there is still a one year warranty.

Bought it - if they don't come in their original packaging has anybody got a box that they don't want and would be willing to part with - just to complete the illusion. (I promise I won't be selling it on - it's a gift).

They have a 2GB nano for £99 on the Apple site - so this is a 34% saving off the street price.

The refurb ipods are the ones sold between october 2005 and september 2006. i.e. essentially 5th generation, but have been on the market for a bit longer than the latest ones released a few days ago.
