Sorry, but as for the 'personal gain' argument - don't we all use this site for our own personal gain?

Yep, we do. But respect other members too. It's a community and works by people finding and sharing offers with one another.

Those who are arguing about people buying a few, are clearly those who were slow off the mark and didn't get one. It's called bitterness, not socialism.

Err no I got one, but I'll still make the point.

You'll always get people who will try to buy loads. As you will always get people that complain that its not fair....and people that miss out. I've gone past the point of worrying about it.

I worry about what bargains I can get hold of that are useful to me and mine. Yes a £70 ipod would have been nice...but I needed to check that it was wanted before I bought. As it turned out I missed it. But thus is life.

Also, where you have misprices quite often companies will supply 1 or 2 and people who try to order loads will miss out. So such people do lose every now and then.

Very true, and I've seen this happen before regarding mispriced Pro Ev games at HMV.

Anyway back onto cheap Ipods, I personally think you will all get a nice surprise this week. My feeling is that when the shop gets updated on wednesday, there may well be the same deal on again. Guess we'll just have to wait and see.

Oh and I won't be buying any this time, my 0% credit card has taken a beating! ;)

    Umm.. Have I missed something??
    From the web site:-

"Refurb iPod 30GB Black with Video - Apple Certified
    Original price: £179.00
    Your price: £186.14"

    What a bargain.... NOT!

But seriously missed the boat on the cheap ones - nothing less than £139 now, other than a tiny 1gb model at £109.

    LOL!

I just ordered a brand new 30GB iPod Video from Dixons.co.uk for £175 inc free delivery.

I say give back a bit of what you take and not be greedy. I have sold a few items on ebay myself but i try to participate on this website as much as i can.

Those who soley use this site for finding items to sell on ebay and not bother helping others and worse still try to wind up people who didnt manage to get an item is just not right.

I know I’m new to the forums, but for what it’s worth, here is my opinion…..

This board is here to help and advise people (and “grabbit while they can”) – that’s the nature of the forums. If someone wants to grab a bit more than the next person, then that’s OK (in my opinion). These people reading and posting to the forums are all adding to the community. Let’s not forget the countless number of readers of the forums who are not registered (these greatly outweigh the numbers registered). These will take but not give back which is not so OK (but the way of the world)

If we’re going to point the finger at depriving others, then surely the non contributors are the real culprits.

It’s all about give and take – if you take, feel free, but by being registered on these forums you are also enforcing the point that you want to give as well.

Please do not rip me to pieces (especially as I’ve only just joined myself !!).

    Thanks for reading. :o

People lurking on the forums and then buying up loads of whatever bargains they find are a fact of life. I don't support it in any way, but it's never going to change so it's just something that we all have to put up with.

Maybe we should rename the board to "Grab it before THEY do!!" or something? :D

We should be directing our comments to Apple because if they put a limit on how many refurb iPods (the heavily discounted ones) an individual can buy then we would all be happy.

Dont worry if you missed the boat on these, theyll be obsolete in no time, as is the pace of change with these gadgets.
