It could back fire on Martin aswell a bit as his GMTV info will turn out to be duff, I can just see the Q's at the CS desk "yeah but Martin said I could":rotfl:AKA: PC

Rest in Peace Fred the Maddest Muppet in Heaven0 -
All I have to say about Martin and his BIG mouth is what goes around comes around and I'm afraid he will lose a lot of traffic & members from this site/forum. I basically come on this forum for coupons, newspapers, magazines, freebies and occasionally the competitions and if coupons stop then I don't need to come on here for coupons, newspapers or magazines anymore and I have other sources for freebies and competitions. So it was a very stupid thing for him to do. I just wonder if he understands how many people he has hurt by his actions. No more steak for us, it's back to eating cheap food I'm afraid.
yes I thought this. he has been a very helpful in things he has done for a lot of people, but I have to question his motives for revealing this on national television. surely he would have anticipated the consequences of what he said???? he is not a stupid guy. He could have made things very difficult for a lot of people. I just don't understand it.Won't buy nuffink without a discount0 -

And then they'll email Martin asking why he gave out information which was incorrect (although it wasn't at the time he gave it out).
I do like him, and he has saved me lots, and yes we're on his site so he has the right to use the information we glean, but still wish he hadn't lol.15st 4lb, week 3 - steady as we go
15st 6lb, week 1 - here we go0 -
Called in al little Tesco Express on way home from work. Took MOCs no probs. Please don't blame Martin Lewis. He's the consumers' champion and the thread and website would not exist without him. He saves millions of people a lot of money - personal finance doesn't start and end with Mocs!
Waitrose is going to get swamped - and no doubt will be forced to review their policy.
I think if fraud and abuse was the reason for change then they would be banning internet mocs. The fact that they're saying you can only use ANY moc if you by the product implies their reason for change is pressure from the manufacturers.
Mad - can you do something to make us laugh please, we need cheering up!!Ageing is inevitable - maturing is optional0 -

I have seen the official e-mail today that my manager has shown me - its a national change which takes effect from 15:00 today - from the look of the e-mail which was sent to the store managers account it has been sent to all stores. It blames the reccent publicisation on both TV and radio for making the policy 'no longer sustainable'. A full and updated policy will follow with corporate signage to inform customers however paper signage must be displayed at every checkout until this is signed off and delivered to stores.
In short if you want to use the coupon in ANY tesco store you have to buy the product
once again, thanks martin!! I think this proves that the broadcasting of the policy has ended it for all of us :mad:Won't buy nuffink without a discount0 -
Must admit..
Its like a 14 year old policy.
Martin comes off as knight in shining armour... delivers it to masses and now NOBODY can use it.
I think martins a clever individual... surely if he delivers such a 'glitch' to the mases he is screwing over the REAL people who he MILCHES info from.
I'm talking about editing of this thread.. its updated manually and by volunteers and was fine as a little community for ages... then after a week of his news.... its fubared.
Well all i can say is a big thanks to martin.0
