The funny thing is I got in a bit of a debate with the DVLA over a scorn on my camper. They were coming out to clamp the van as they had not received the paper work. I asked which way they were going to do this and they said "we will disable the vehicle by clamping the wheel of the vehicle"
2 problems here for them. No1, Nero my Rottie and No 2, I have taken the wheels off it. Lets see what happens.0 -
Desert Storm one of the rave DJ sound systems used to have a sound system in an old Ferret Scout car to take on demos. nothing civy could tow it or clamp it.The truth may be out there, but the lies are inside your head. Terry Pratchett

I’m sure MSE has very strict rules about members gambling with each other on forum so give it to a Forces charity, Legion, RAFA or the naval equivalent, whichever is closest to you.
And, don’t forget, this is a donation in exchange for a receipt to be posted on here rather than a donation in exchange for glasses of ale :beer:0 -

could be interesting but i think they might just lift the vehicle if they have something big enough to lift it. it might be worth filling it will blocks of lead so their hiab cant lift it aswell. or depending on the state its been left in with no wheels on it it might be seen as a danger to the public?
let us know what happens though....work permit granted!0 -

Accepted, just remember one thing, giving misleading information on a forum could result in the prosecution of another member that has taken the information as a given, if I am not 100% sure of my facts I use the get out clause of saying I am " almost certain " or similar.
Oh and it is not good manners to edit the post of another member by adding something to it.;)
Anyway, time to move on.0 -

i have a drive so what is the difference in temptation?
There is very little difference and therefore not my point. My point was - why have yet another type of SORN..."Part P" is not, and has never been, an accredited electrical qualification. It is a Building Regulation. No one can be "Part P qualified."
