House of the day is lovely, I can understand why you're tempted but 5 loos, 4 showers and a bath is an awful lot of cleaning. You'd need a maid. Can I volunteeer? You could bung me in the barn, I'd be perfectly happy there.

    Cleaning volunteers always welcome!

Banking shows one lot of casino money in, so £18 profit has been transferred to the 0% card, bringing that balance to £3300. 10p only on the scratches, but one has a balance of over £8 so edging closer to payout......slowly slowly!

Other than that, nothing to report, so a fairly ordinary start to the day! money from teaching today won't be with me until the end of next month....but it will be gratefully received and transferred when it does arrive.

Todays reasonably priced house is very MSE because it includes holiday lets......

It is also in the catchment area for my kids' school......

    **starts packing**

God that is SO cheap...lol. One of the problems with owning a house in one of the most expensive areas outside of London is that anywhere else looks cheap.. But to have the rentals thrown in as well, well that would be fab *wonders if the money from the rentals would pay for the mortgage* :D

Just happens to be in the wrong country.....

Edited to add, ac tually i think the idea of residential courses to learn budgettingh skills has a lot going for it. And i would sign up for the match betting course for sure. I am sure it is really easy but just doesn't look like it to me.....
I want a job that is less than an hour driving away from my house! Are you listening universe?

We do have some lovely houses, and lovely locations here, but our wages in this part of the uk are much lower than most areas, so I suppose it is swings and roundabouts, really. There is, however, a huge gap between one price band and the next, so for anyone wanting to move up a rung, there is always going to be a big jump required, just like anywhere else in the UK - so for example, if I moved, I would be looking at the next level being houses of £350-450k.......but my 4 bed detached in a good catchment area for schools would only get max £240-250, so percentage wise we have to make a huge jump funded either by savings or mortgage.

It's great, of course, for those people selling up in London and moving here - they love it! And a lot of coastal properties are used as holiday homes as a result of the London ££.

Anyway.....I'm still aiming to move - and when I do, properties like those I post will be on my "must view" list......let's hope there is a nice choice available to me when I am ready!

20 mins before I need to leave to teach today......time for a snooze perhaps, or another coffee.....def another coffee :D

That is **lurvely** - and its the price of swish two bed flats in this part of the world.... those are the people who either work in London or have lots of London money - wages here are at the national average, sadly for all the local people who get priced out of their own town (which describes me 20 years ago, oops). And a science fiction buddy of mine must live really near that house - she lives in Rockland All Saints, with a pond thats bigger than the footprint of my house :)

Hope the teaching day goes well, Hypno, let us know, I'd be interested to know how its received.

I'm out at our speedway end of season do tonight - is it wrong that I've been looking on it as an extra hours drinking time?! :D

Teaching went well (I think!), and I managed to just catch an earlier bus, so home a little earlier than expected which is always a good thing!

As for the extra hour.....well, DS is playing football the other side of the county, so an early start for us as always.......and of course he has to do his and DD's paper rounds first, so no rest.....
