You lot have made me laugh out loud today, thank you!
I've won £15 on the b!ngo this evening, so that should reach me by the weekend, and will go nicely off the 0% card.
DS made a faberooni shepherds pie for dinner - with enough for tomorrow as well so very MSE, and I have had a NSD.....two in a row - I must be careful, I could make a habit of it:rolleyes:
Hope you have all had a good evening so far - I've got a headache, so no flyladying for me today.....I will save that up for tomorrow evening instead.Successful women can still have their feet on the ground. That's all well and good, pickle, but have you ever owned a brown velour sofa that was passed on to you from a well meaning relative who was pleased to see the back of it
:rotfl:
No, and if it's just them getting rid of their clutter, they had better not dare pass it on to me - I've enough of a job getting rid of my own! :eek:Please call me 'Pickle'

Lol at all the brown sofas.
DD is off very early in the morning......I am trying to persuade her that an early night would be a good idea, but she is too excited to sleep!

My boyfriend's dad made a respectable living building G Plan furniture when it first came out, I'll have you know! If he were a bit younger, and Ikea were closer, I'm sure he'd be sorting out flatpacks:rotfl:
Us? 2 inherited chairs of random fabric, not Dralon. Gave 'em to somebody else. We got rid of a 1970's cooker last year and replaced it with another inherited 1970's cooker. Gave us more money for , especially if it's Okells from Home B at 79 p a bottle:D‘Keep your eye on the donut and not on the hole.’ David Lynch.

At my last workplace, my headaches were always fed painkillers and food washed down with coffee. Cover all bases:rotfl:‘Keep your eye on the donut and not on the hole.’ David Lynch.

I have to add carpets to the discussion - we have a 30 year old carpet in our front room - you know the nylon sculpted ones that last forever! Well this one has - sadly its still going strong, in a nice sage colour and I just cant bring myself to get rid of it when it still has life in it!
I too started my home life with a brown dralon 3 piece suite passed on by well meaning relatives. And when I set up home with my new DH I lost custody of the 2 settees, so we spent 6 months using garden lounger chairs. Very comfortable!

Love all this retro furniture talk! We had a two seater sofa and 2 chairs in apple green dralon in our first flat and then when we finally moved to a house we got another 2 seater. Must have had the suite for at least 15 years before passing it onto my brother for his flat. Our other lounge furniture then was a sideboard that my parents gave us - very useful and sad to get rid of when we did and a secondhand stacking music system The dralon suite always looked good as new thanks to Fairy liquid especially when the kids came along with their sticky mitts. Now have a GPlan suite which is very comfy and which we all love.0
