Apart from my jeans and primark tees last week, neither have I........and I am trying to remind myself that for the cost of one skirt in White stuff, I can completely revamp my wardrobe from Primark

  • I'm a 'lovely people', please can I have something from the white stuff [sigh, back to reality].. I hate cleaning the pit. Every home with a teenage boy has one. I have 2! DS1 is OK he doesn't make much mess but DS2, oh where to start, I can't usually get through the door for stuff and can't see the floor for clothes. I usually lose it on a Saturday when I walk on bits of warhammer without my slippers on! Ouch! then up goes the war cry - do it now or its all going in the bin! - usually works well enough that I can see the floor but its not good!

  • I've not got teenage boys yet but does one 12 year old DD count!! I love the description of your kids rooms, my DD is clearly slowly modelling her on that - even though she doesn't know it.

Wow - what to look forward to !! Love em!

I want to redecorate/update the childrens rooms over the next few months - I went into a picture shop today to get some inspiration for colours/designs from some of the prints they have there. I want to get started on it now, but can't do so until everywhere is well and truly decluttered.........

It really makes a difference once you have decluttered. It has taken me nearly 3 years to do it whilst we've done building work and decorating - but it has been so worth it. I have done very little house work since I went back to work in Sept - today I have cleared worktops and put piles of 'stuff' and ironing away that I've let mount up - it was soooooo easy even though I have done minimal since I went back to work over a month ago. And today it was do a bit rest a bit cos I still feel a bit off colour. Now if only I could train myself to not let it mount up in the first place!!!!!!!!!!

I need to have a big declutter as well. That includes putting all my CDs in order, and putting all my travelling odds and ends and pictures in albums/scrap books. Here's to an inital room tidy and CD round up before Thursday night as I have Thursday off. Kick my bee-hind if I don't do it. :o
