  • Just had an email from BB saying that they are cracking down on those who are abusing the intro deal and closing accounts.

I don't expect 2010 will see many (if any) B!ng0 deals similar to those we've taken advantage of this year. I'm sure free scratchcards will cease at some stage, though I'll keep scratching until they do.

Just made £8 with an online sale. Not sure when I'll see the money so won't count it until it arrives. However, as I've no other income this week online sales are very welcome.

Well done to everyone on the decluttering - I absolutely agree with clear house meaning clear mind. Now make your fortune by selling your 'stuff' online :D

    3) Indian head massage course not running this Jan, but have the choice of 8 week waxing course and 15 week false nail course. The former is more useful to me, personally, but I could potentially earn more money from the latter. Had decided on the waxing course, but am wondering if I should not try the other as i could potentially earn more £ from it. Hmm...Whaddyathink?

Difficult one: waxing course will finish just in time for the spring time unveiling of the hairy limbs and the holiday bikini waxings and, of course, waxing now applies to both genders!:rotfl: However, false nails are an absolute money spinner, however appalling I may think they are. So...

The only "issue" with the bedroom (ooh err missus) is that I have the empty Christmas decorations boxes, which will linger until we take the trees etc down on Sunday......so until then, the boxes will remain an eyesore in my room, but at least I have hoovered the carpet underneath them, and stacked them neatly!

Also filled another bin bag for the tip, have a charity bag ready for collection tomorrow, and made a start on a kitchen cupboard.......there is "out of date" and then there is the contents of my cupboards :o I am sure that the majority of the stuff I have chucked would still be perfectly usable, but I have to be honest, if it has a "best before" date of October 2003, that means I must have bought it circa 1999..........and if I haven't finished off the packet/jar by now, then I have to accept that it probably isn't going to ever get included in my list of ingredients.

Some of it was "inherited" from my dad's cupboards......so I had more out of date dried mixed herbs and pumpkin seeds than I really know what to do with....

So, they have gone - I will do the cupboard properly in the next few days, but it is another bit of clutter out of the way :D

  • I have just been shredding a mound of old paperwork Hypno, so at least the wardrobes will now be used for clothes..

Can't believe how much carp has been accumalated and i will now have to hoover the carpet again as there are loads of shreddy bits on it. There is no chance of any tinned things being out of date here unless it is grapefruit...they are like locusts in the kitchen. :)

  • Sounds like my cupboards. One of my big aims for 2010 is not to waste so much food. I'm ashamed off the amount i've wasted this last few years. I think part of the reason is being brain washed by the sell by date/you will poison everyone you love brigade and a total lack of confidence.

........work in progress - that's all I can say, really - work in progress......

So, how's it going? I need to dyson the living room and this workroom as someone's staying over, as well as sort some post for tomorrow and pay the accountant. Oh, and see how those last 10 sprouts are doing in the bottom of the fridge:eek:

I think my main aim, though, is to make some sort of plan for 2010 and researching the first step -getting a web site set up for part of my business. Baby steps, baby steps!

I'm very happy to use things long after their sell by/use by dates.....and just use the "sniff test" to decide whether I will risk food poisoning - and so far we are all still alive........

The stuff I threw out today was mainly herbs/nuts/seeds that I really can't see myself using. I try and grow and use fresh herbs where I can, and still have plenty of dried stuff in reserve if I need.....oh, and I also threw out the half empty packet of "low carb spaghetti"......it was so gross that I know I won't ever use the other half, so into the bin bag it has gone!

Well the ironing is done, have also spent 2 hours sorting neighbours computers out, burnt my toast for lunch so haven;t actually had anything. Am about to start thank you letters - (kids have already written theirs) so that I can post them tomorrow.

Sausage and mash for tea with heaps of vegetables - have to offset the chocolate somehow!!!

Whats everyone doing for New Years Eve then?

I'm not bothered about NYE really - OH has been invited to a house party which is at friends that I don't know, so I have said he can go there - I am happy to have a quiet evening at home looking forward to putting the last decade behind me :o

If we have the car back, I might take the kids out, but as it is, I am without transport, and am not prepared to spend silly money on a taxi.....
