I am a skint academic... lol! (seriously... just a really junior one!) I'm a (mad ) scientist! :rotfl: I was in Cambridge a few months ago. We had the conference dinner in Kings College... very impressive. We were supposed to have a lab "meeting" while punting on the cam too but were too hungover! :rolleyes:

Thanks everyone... Hmmmmm... transport links 1st is a good idea... but as I can easily access the East and West coast mainline train lines plus buses to all over I'm not sure it narrows it down any! Names out of a hat it is then... :rotfl:

IT LIKE COMPARING SLEEPING ROUGH IN THE FOREST TOO SLEEPING AT HOME,,,,

Thanks for the travelodge tip. Think 2010 will be the year I explore York (as long as it has a cheap travelodge!)

The end of a very long week is finally here Considering I had a day off work at the start of the week, it really does feel as though I have done more than 4 days!

My neck is improving, though, so that is a good thing - still very stiff and uncomfortable, but not so painful, and with a bit more movement, so hopefully that will result in some better sleep over the weekend.

I have a chilli cooking in the slow cooker so at least dinner is more or less sorted.....just need to do some rice.

But first - coffee......hope you have all had a good day x
