Rainy.... okay, you're on! I'm still not going to do it before I stop for Christmas, you know - except if I use that Just For Grey that Shaun suggested :rotfl: - actually, yes, I'll use that for the challenge! I'll buy it over the weekend. I've been a bit stressed, tbh - but maybe next week I can start to do a little bit - when do you want to start it???

Oo-er - what have we started now? Actually, it feels good, starting to come back into the world again......

    :j:j:j:j

I have one more necessary dying session before Xmas (the weather is grey enough without my hair adding to it!) but I think the week between Christmas and New Year could be the time! It is perfect if you are feeling a bit stressed, there's nothing like a new look to boost things! New year, new look?!

I'm sounding quite brave here! I've been such a chicken over this red hair dye! My attitude changed dramatically from buying it in the shop to getting it home! :o

Excellent idea! Long term, I think I'll go for Herbatint - one other thing that put me off dyeing was how problematic all the chemicals are, and Herbatint doesn't have those problems. But for the short term, I'll investigate the Just for Men thing. Blame Shaun if it doesn't work out :D

I think there's a women's version too. No idea why as I don't suppose the hair is different (??) and probably it's just marketing. I'd expect the female one to cost more for less dye too!

Aha! Right .... thinking about my journey today ..... I was going to London by car, but I'm not now - and paying for an ordinary Travelcard.... so I can go find a big Boots, or even a poundshop, tho I don't want to go too far out of my way to do that. I'm wondering about the cheapie stores at the "wrong end" of Oxford Street........ or the markets around London Bridge....... hmmm...........

    Morning!

I don't blame you changing your car tax renewal away from Christmas. Ours was always due in December which was a killer so we did the same thing a few years ago.

I'm in a very positive mood about money today. We are going to find the money for a car without any problems at all.

This morning I pre-bought my bingo tickets and then took the dogs for a walk and found 26p in my pocket and 3p on the floor. Came home and I'd won £15 on the bingo!!!!!! I'm now up to £40/£120 for DS's trip (if it goes ahead) so that's a third of the way there!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

It's the first time I pre-brought tickets and, like you all said, it's so much better. I won £10 on the first game and then £5 on another game. If I hadn't pre-bought I'd have had to deposit, withdraw and then play. Then I'd have had to wait 24 hours to withdraw the next fiver and would have had to deposit even more. If anyone has actually followed that - well done!!!

    Have a good day xxxxx

Claire :hello:... If you're lurking. Yep I'm taka on BB too... prob best not to mention MSE there though! Mind you I think half the chatroom was MSErs
    - duchy mentioned mystery shopping and no-one asked what it was! I think we all knew... :rotfl: Won another £5 this morning! :D

Thanks for the travelodge heads up shaun. I've promised myself to visit more places in the UK next year so I may have a think on somewhere to go... Any recommendations anyone? Needs to be on transport (bus/train) links from Edinburgh/Glasgow as I don't drive and have museums/art galleries/sites etc to visit. I've been loads of places in Scotland but not so many in England and I've never been to Wales! :o This year was London for the 1st time since I was 16ish! :rotfl:

Mudbath - good luck on the car front. Glad your OH is ok...

Not that the host had a clue what was going on in the room -was spread a mite too thinly judging how long it took to get my quid off her !

(Still not got out the door to do the MS's yet-it's vile out there today)

If you've not "done" Manchester it's great for art gallaries and the Science Museum is fab too.

    And in Manchester there's this:

Sussex Egyptology had a weekend trip there earlier this year, just before I joined.

Manchster sounds good... I've been close to Manchester (near Marple???) camping when I was in the Venture Scouts but never Manchester properly. All I can remember about it was the long walk to the swimming baths so we could have a proper shower when the shower at the scout campsite died for a couple of days. :rotfl:
