I am potentially going to be bad......very bad......

A friend rang me last night to say she had been given a fab ski offer for the first week of the season - all in, flights, catered chalet etc for £219.....did I want to go with her

The worst that would happen is that we would have poor snow for skiing, so would have to force ourself to just relax, sans-kids with someone else doing our cooking for us :p

I don't know if I can get that week off work yet, so will ask on Monday morning, but I could use my MSE money for November to pay for it, so essentially I could be having a free week!

On that basis, the £15 I received this morning - £10 scratch, £3 casino, £2 bingo, has gone in savings towards the holiday, and if I don't go, I will transfer it to the 0% later.

Debtbusting therefore slows even further :o

We would have a complete hoot, and my friend is also not exactly flush with funds, so we have discussed how little we can get away with taking in terms of extra money. This is the same friend that I formed a "relationship" with, for the benefit of the lift pass office, and pooled our kids in order that we could get a family lift pass one year :o Well, there are no rules about same sex couples, and all their related children.......so much to the amusement of our children we even said we would snog in order to save money :rotfl:

So, it would be a very MSE holiday

Although my OH would definately feel the ease of my stress levels being taken out on him lol... I have been known to get annoyed by the sound of his breathing :p is that just me :rotfl:

:rotfl:I read about a woman who snapped & stabbed her husband. When asked why she said 'he asked me to pass the salt', I knew just what she meant :rotfl:

:rotfl:Love it Hypno, go for it. Rather than all the CTax money going to DS's skiing send some your own way :T

You could easily raise enough free cash to pay for you both between now and then. Sounds too good an offer to refuse!
I would love to be going skiing *sigh*
Last time we booked to go was nearly 6 years ago. We were going to see my Sister in the States, then I got PG so couldn't ski. Very upset....

I just hope I can get that week off work.....I don't think it would be a problem, but you never know.....so I dare not say YES for sure just yet......but I will admit to being excited already!

Go for it! I'd have to be highly sedated to go anywhere near a ski slope as I'd be so scared, but I think you deserve a good treat - maybe OH and the children could each contribute £X as your christmas present then it would be even cheaper, I'm sure you wouldn't mind not having anything at all under the tree :)

Hope you get the time off, it sounds really good, everyone needs a holiday.

We had planned our main holiday in September, but OH's redundancy stopped that, and with starting a new job you can't really take time off straight away, so got to wait until next year now. But might manage to get some travel with OH's work so that will compensate.

On the house front busy roads are a main deterent for reselling, and also affect the value significantly, we're finding lots of houses that look nice then you discover they're on an A road.
