    Well done sarah :A

I wish I wasnt counting my £2 coins, but I'm paying them into my 'free money' account for future use.

When I am DF I will continue to save them but like you will just wait until the pot is full & then have a lovely surprise :D

I should also clean my car - it's better since being left out in the rain yesterday but could still do with a good scrub & polish. Cant wait until the day I can pay those lovely men in car parks to do it while I shop :j

Tried on some clothes this morning & realised that I am indeed F.A.T :(

Everything looks awful on :o, lumps & bumps everywhere they shouldnt be & it just confirms that while I seem to have reigned in my finances, I now need to seriously address my shape & size  I must multi task

Off to prepare for work now,

    Happy Decluttering :)

    Hello lovely SAIDs :hello:

Not posted on MSE for a long long time, tho I have been lurking away. This is mainly because I've taken my foot of the DF gas and have been feeling rather shame-faced about it :o. Back on the straight and narrow-ish for now - have found myself plotting huge xmas extravagance on CC in the back of my head so need to avoid avoid avoid at all costs.

On the plus side, the total has been going down slowly and am now 50% cleared from when I joined. It would be a very depressing thing to blow all that on a load of 'stuff' as would be the usual practice so am thinking about starting myself up a diary to keep myself on track.

Nice to see that you are all still sticking with it and being so lovely and supportive to one another too - hope you don't mind me butting my nose back in!!

    Hello!

The motherboard on my work computer died, hence I went quiet for a few days, (and missed quite a lot by the looks of things)

Make Up - Happy Birthday for yesterday!!!!! Did you have a good day?

Souk - Congratulations on the second interview!!

Lula Hula - even though you dont like this guy at work, its cool that he fancys you, a bit of a confidence boost - you obviously havent lost your touch!

The dress was perfect, and the zip held out (woohoo!) and I had a really nice evening with 'Saturday man' - its blatently not going anywhere but am not fussed, he's good fun to hang around with, so will carry on doing that as friends until it stops being fun.

And.....I SWAM! all by myself, no floats or anything, am so proud of me! (yay for swimming lessons lol)

Hiya, been lurking too, and happy belated birthday to Yargo and Makeup.

I decided I needed a stricter plan and then you all start talking about 1, I think my problem with plans is the target dates, I need to make it smaller targets, so I can actually see that I am quite good most of the time.

Carole my mum made us learn to swim when we were kids, and I hate it, I think it's cos the water is so cold, she reckoned living near the canal we were stupid enough to actually fall in one day, so by learning to swim we'd be saved, the canal at that time was so poluted we'd have had a job.

    Hi Eco,

I know what you mean about the plan, I switched to a 3 year plan a couple of weeks ago, but its seemed so hard to achieve that I wanted to quit totally, so I have decided now that all financial goals have to come in 6 months segments, and I feel a lot better about it all....also, my percentage looks so much better now than when I switched and it went down to 15%, i really didnt like that!

Pollution was not a problem in my childhood swimming escapades - just remember turning blue swimming in the atlantic ocean off the west coast of Ireland in the rain!!

    Hey everyone!

Thanks for all the lovely birthday wishes, really made me smile! :j:beer:

I had a fab day, my friend bought me lunch (dimsum, first ever time having it!) then went to a cheap matinee of a play (39 steps) which was hilarious and so clever and also had a rather handsome lead.

In the evening I had a chicken kiev (marked down at Tatco) for my dinner and watched Mamma Mia on DVD which had come from Lovefilm! so all in all fairly bargainous.

And the celebrating ain't over yet. I'm out to dinner tomorrow night with a bunch of friends to celebrate jointly with a friend who has her b'day tonight. This time Korea (appear to be doing some kind of round-the-world dining) Yum yum

I definitely need to be giving myself targets and things to achieve, rather than just bumbling along. I did start a couple of months back by looking at expenditure and working out ways of cutting back. Just need to follow up on that properly now.

CaroleM - hurrah for excellent sewing skills and for also finding 'Saturday Man' sounds like fun!
I've got my own flat :j:j

Now I have to pay the bills

And feed my interiors addiction ;)
  • Thanks Make Up, it was a good night! He's off on tour today for 2 weeks ish so wil see him when he gets back. (he does techy stuff for bands)

Sounds like you had a good birthday, did you enjoy Mama Mia?

  • Morning all
One is not happy today at all
I'm having a not so good daystarted off by someone telling me that i'm lucky i laugh about my problems and don't mind being overweight!!!!!:mad::eek::eek:
    WHAT i mean really !!!!!!??????
I wanted to scream and say - No i am am not fine but i am as tired of moaning about it as anyone is of listening to me moan. And also being FAT is not fun or healthy and no i don't like wearing the same carppy clothes all the time because i can't find anything i like in the non-human size i wear.
All topped off by the fact that the man who contributed to 50% of my DNA (and in who's house i live) speaks to me like sh#t on his shoe or treats me as invisible or an idiot unless he needs me to do something for him!

Ok maybe i am not so tired of moaning then:o:rolleyes:

    Anyhow......
Makeup- happy belated birthday and enjoy your dinner tonite. I LOVE Oriental type food but up here no chance of getting it anywhere sadly:( .
Sarah You're an inspiration so keep doing what you're doing girl it aint small stuff at all! :T
Lula- don't fret it one step at a time methinks then you can concentrate and stick to your plan. then when it becomes habit you can multi-task and juggle all them balls.
