If you ate the perfect diet and worked out with the very best trainer for the next two weeks (or months), using the state of the art equipment...you'd gain weight. A lot of it.

Muscle being denser weighs more. The more it's used the better it grows up to a point most people would find hard to exceed.

However, you'd look in a mirror and be chuffed. You'd be lacking in nothing your body requires, and would feel good generally.

Walk more. or walk faster...eat better. Fat is fuel, burn it and enjoy the taste it brings to food within sensible limits.

It may surprise you to be told this, but humans have managed without diets and even grown bigger and stronger though the last thousands of years without counting calories or reading how to feed themselves in articles written by anorexic born again food gurus or gourmets we have right now.

Even more shocking. people may even like you just as you are, which is sensible since that's likely to be what you will be comfortable with at the end of the day and who you really are.

If you met a person feedng a cat what you just said you eat (or similar calorific values) ...what would you think ? Cruel?:rotfl:

timmers, thanks for your view on matters & much of what you said I know to be true.

2 years ago I was going to a gym regularly & although I did weigh a stone less than I do now, I was in very good shape, I felt great, was toned & obviously fit & healthy.

The gym closed down, I had my lbm & realised I couldnt afford to join another, I tried to keep up with an exercise programme then a few months on I lost a close relative which knocked me sideways.

I started smoking again & due to stress & grief lost a lot of weight - too much. Exercise was sporadic as my mental health suffered. I managed to quit smoking again ( 16 months now) but have since piled on the weight.

I am not anorexic & certainly do not advocate extreme dieting in any shape or form. The soup with the low calorific value was for supper only, accompanied by rolls & preceeded by fruit & a bowl of cereal.

As to what other people think of me, I live my life for me, not for other people & their judgement. I want to lose the[STRIKE] weight [/STRIKE]inches for myself, I know how I can look & feel & wish to regain that.

Losing that stone would enable me to fit back into the clothes that I already have & like.

When I have cleared my debts I hope to be able to do some form of training again, if you're in the surrey area, feel free to offer your services :D

Morning all:D Well I have done precisely none of the things on my list the other day, books are still everywhere, wardrobe is still bursting:rolleyes:.

I am going to spend all of today trying to get things sorted, will be boring you all by posting what I am doing all day but it helps me to get on with it if I can list my little successes:rolleyes:

First things, cup of tea, do the washing up and get some washing on.

It's the weekend!!! :D Hope everybody's doing well.

That's rubbish Ziggles, ignore that comment  I hope you're feeling better now. Here's a dodgy hug :grouphug:

Good luck with your plans Sarahb. Post away. I write lists on my diary, then update them through the day or weekend as I do things. It is quite motivating.

Lula - I guess the allotment provides exercise, but not sure how much there is to be done now we're getting into winter. Could you do some exercise DVD's at home over winter? Cheap and saves time/petrol driving to the gym etc.

Glad you enjoyed your birthday, makeup! Lovely pressies too. Are you going away next week or just enjoying a week off work?

Hello again FeeFee! Good to see you back. Speaking of SAID's that are MIA, has anybody seen Hollyberry around? Would be nice to hear how she's doing.

Lula - well said. And I didn't realise you had given up the smokes. Well done on 16 months :j That should be quite motivating as think how much bigger your cc's would be if you hadn't that cig money to throw at them!

Gwen - yup, currently sat here in pj's and wearing all the make-up I was given......which includes glittery eyeliner...:D I'm off to Iceland tomorrow for 3 days and I can't wait. We've booked into the blue lagoon which is fab outdoor spa with natural thermal springs and amazing silica mud which is apparently fab for your skin. Plus we are doing tour of Golden Circle which is some of hte amazing natural sites (massive waterfall, geysirs etc)

I should be working my way through my massive list of things to do today but so far all i've done is upload some photos to Photobox to make a collage...something which wasn't even on my list.....

Oh my God, makeup! Iceland?! Wow, that will be a-m-a-z-i-n-g. I'm so jealous. It's very high up my list of future destinations, I'm sure you'll have a fantastic time.

Glittery eyeliner? Awesome!! :D Perfect timing for all those Christmas parties too!

    Hey everyone,

Iceland -wow :j have a fab time & we can all say that " ... all the hot geysers, that's why makeup's gone to Iceland" :D I am a big fan of sparkly eyeliner, proud owner of a gorgeous green one from The Body Shop

    I miss Hollyberry too :(

Zero weight loss here, & yes Gwen allotment does provide some exercise but no, there's not al ot to do there at the moment. I really need to get a new bike as DD & I do both enjoy going for rides & although I do tend to hibernate in winter, I think bikes can be fun any time of year as long as it's not raining. I was doing really well on the daily yoga session until the clocks changed, havent done any since :o

It's that weird thing where I can be good at debt busting or dieting, not both :mad:.

I received a free mini Baileys sample today so will sip that later on this evening. ;)

Good luck with your clearance sarah - will be back to check up on you later ...
