Yello all. Harking back to the talk of gigs a few pages ago I went to see Skindred and Dead by April last week and they were absolutely amazing! I got good and trollied beforehand and moshed for hours. There is another metal gig next wednesday which is the evening before my bday so might use that as a pre-bday warm-up :D

I should really go and do some research for my dissertation... hmmmm.... nah!

Good afternoon all, I haven't been to a gig for months, and at one time I was always going to one, but I'm old now and as my dear brother say's the music's that loud it makes your ears bleed, I like it loud.
I'll have to go look at Shoegal's diary again and be random, I work with loonies it shouldn't be that difficult.

    God its Monday again....

Yargo, I lost my grandma and an old next door neighbour this year (another two reasons why this year has been so pants as well as the relationship breakdown).

They should let you take the time off even if its unpaid, I had one death in Jan and the other in March so I used my holiday, even for my Grandma's which narked me a bit actually as she was family, the neighbour I understand but still ....

Hi lilmissmup, thats really bad that you had to use holiday for your grans. sorry to hear you ve lost two people you are close to this year too.

I still dont know when the service is going to be but my boss has said it will be fine to take the day off as compassionate leave.

Been a busy day at work, had some updates on my computer at home, now it doesnt seem to want to log on to any email account but other pages seem ok... weird one.

watching eastenders at the moment.... gosh that shirley is not a nice character is she!

anyhow hope you have all had a good day today, catch up later on or in the am.

    Hi everyone,

sarah re your old mobiles - have a look at mazumamobile over on topcashback ;)

Hope everyone ok, I've just had CC3 statement for the month & discovered that I'm getting cashback for spending on it, is this normal ?

I believe some CC's do cashback on spending. I would imagine it only works in your favour if you are able to pay off in full each month as I doubt the cashback out-weighs the interest charged.

    Which CC is it?
I've got my own flat :j:j

Now I have to pay the bills

And feed my interiors addiction ;)
  • Morning all,

Yargo - sorry to hear about your loss, but I'm sure it will be a great comfort to his wife that you have been showing you cared and visiting him.

Cant remember who mentioned this, sorry, but - I was at the Green Day at Milton Keynes thing too! It was ace, I have the best photos of that day.

I just wanted to share my little victory, I went on holiday in August and lost a day of it to delays on the flights, when I tried to claim it on my insurance they wiggled out of it - they said that I was only covered for delayed flights, not missed connections, and that the plane took off on time, I just wasnt on it. Well this really p*ssed me off - I only missed the connection cause of a delayed flight! Anyways, after a bit of too-ing and fro-ing, I finally got my money out of the b**tards! Woohoo! Its only £18.81 but I have come to realise that its the little victories that keep me going :D

Hope everyone is well and had a good weekend,
    xxx
