thanks for that yargo1 i will keep that offer in mind. I think I have enough food in till next monday, just need to buy cheap bread and ham slices, got cheese, eggs etc, milk, frozen stuff, rice, bit of pasta, bacon, just got to get cheap cat (dried) food, aldi I think tomorrow.

I put a car stereo on mx5nutz for sale £25 and two particular men having a go about why I want cash on collection only. they are insulting me as a woman and my friend 'wayne - one stop roadsters' came to the rescue. But I stuck up for myself and got into a little row, one guy in particular is a right knob see here http://www.mx5nutz.com/forum/index.php?showtopic=46972&st=0
But I got my own back.

    hi all

Hugs to Gwen and Tracey and Buffy :grouphug: ... how's the list going Gwen?

hurrah for Souk's new shop :j

    fingers crossed for SarahB's MOT

and v impressed with SarahB's Ebaying. But have to agree with Lula that I can't be dealing with the hassle for most of the stuff involved. I have reached a compromise by cancelling my charity direct debits, once I realised from the Gift Aid thank-you letters that my donations of stuff were netting them more than my donations in cash.

Have been playing with my Excel spreadsheet and worked out that if I can find an extra £100 per month for the next year or so I would nearly make my original DFD. Obviously the simplest solution would be to nag about my job regrading and actually get that done - I have to stop being a coward about it :o . Have made a good start and will sort next week. Think I have the extra £100 coming in expenses for the next 2 months or so, but need to work on trimming things elsewhere. Should be much easier now that I am with a uni who can tell their a**e from their elbow and I'm not being hit with random charges or extra books. Don't need much to add to summer wardrobe, just trainers and a couple of pairs of sandals. And could be more organised with food. Not sure I can manage batch cooking etc, but better planning would help - have been so swamped the last couple of weeks I've just given in and raided M&S, but taking their offers and actually eating what I bought works out cheaper than buying stuff to properly cook with the best of intentions, then leaving it to rot in the fridge when I come in knackered and eat biscuits :o:rotfl:.

There, now it's in writing and it's real...

I've got a quiet weekend planned, reading and maybe sorting through some clothes for summer. Hope everyone has a good one

    Happy Weekend guys!! :j

I feel a lot better today. Tiredness was probably a contributing factor, but I feel like I'm getting things sorted out as well. There's so much to do, but I'm getting there.

Buffy - I know. I often read your diary and think I could have written some of it! It's not easy at all, but we've just got to keep our chins up as best we can :)

Sarahb - Try not to worry about your MOT so much. My car is really getting old now and has over 100k on the clock, but it passed it's MOT and service with nothing extra needing doing this week.

Made a doctor's appointment for next week, so will speak to him about the dizziness and the counselling I'm trying to sort out, because although I feel better at the moment, it will come all come back at some point.

Right, I'm afraid I'm going to write another 'to do' list on my diary :o I hope you're all still snoozing or watching James on TV :D I woke up early and had an urge to do my balance transfers...I am such a geek :o

Morning all & glad to hear you're feeling better Gwen :), nothign wrong with a bit of geekiness on a saturday ;)

    I've lost 2lb this week & have finally sussed out why I never proceed any further than that;

whatever I lose during the week, I tend to put back on over the weekend .

Good luck with MOT sarah, positive vibes heading your way .

My plans for the week end include filling that charity bag with stuff, making hobnobs & visiting my grandmother, washing, ironing, light cleaning, taking DD to party & plenty of relaxing. I really seem to need my down time at the moment.

I'm also reading a wonderful book by Joanne Harris ( she of the brilliant 'F*** Off I'm Fabulous' quote) called Gentlemen & Players. It's a struggle to put it down & do chores.

Sun is now breaking through so I might hang some washing outside ...

A whole 7 days alcohol free now & I even passed up the offer of reduction on 3 bottles of tonic water :rotfl:
  • Hi hula I read the book by janet street porter called 'lifes too f***** short' Its a really good read and gets you thinking positive.

Well after my bank refused to help me I have £5 left of my overdraft. £4.99 coming soon. I have £112 worht of shares left with BT and £4 on my cc. How am I going to get some food, some cat food to last till next monday?:(

    Im really scared now.
I have £20 in my flex account but not got apin no for card so sent off for that. not been sleeping well either and intend to go to doctors mon or tues if I can get in as my gums are bleeding again and I have a lump on my thumb and an aching right arm.

My car failed its MOT:mad: Grrrr. £170 to get it fixed and pay for MOT. I suppose it could have been worse but I could have done without it. :( Had to go on the cc but I will try to transfer that much back over at the end of the month.

On the plus side I have made my first ebay sale:j which was hugely exciting to watch:D and have a couple of others finishing tonight. At the moment I am a whole £5 richer:D but I have to pay for fees and postage out of that. I have a whole pile of things ready for tomorrow to photograph and load up to sell next weekend. :j

Hope everyone has had a good day:)
