Fab idea gwen - make sure laods of them are things you want to do, not all things you think you should do

I did a list and it was on my old laptop
Kind of remember bits of it and started doing quite a few bits.
Gwen, how you feeling today?
Quiet on here tonight all.
I had a fab day at work. Shop looks amazing and we were very busy today. My new outfit is fabby too. Making soup just now for rest of the week and also a chilli in the SC which takes lush. All v cheap and in budget. What's not in budget is the 3:eek: lunches I have bought this week in Subway, McD's and Greggs. I never do this but am all out of synch. Bit more normal from now on at work though so back to packed lunches from now though. X'The road to a friends house is never long'0 -
Hi Souk
I'm ok thanks. Was upset this morning getting ready for work, so my eyes have been stinging all day, but I feel better since I got home from work. I think one of the problems has been that I haven't really cut myself much slack. I've tried to plough on with the moneysaving and chores etc, instead of giving myself a bit of a breather like I probably I should have. I find it hard to stop though
I soo want to be in a better position financially...it wouldn't make everything easier, because money doesn't solve every problem, but a lot of things would definitely be a bit easier. I'm going to have to go back to the doctor. I know my blood pressure's high, but I can hear it in my ears now, which is freaking me out a bit and I feel dizzy all the time.
On the plus side, my car service and MOT went fine. Very reasonably I thought at £143. No major work needed. Also my Santander Zero card arrived, so I can transfer my balances to 0% for 0% and confess on my sig what my total is
Don't worry about the lunches Souk. Like you say, you're out of synch and out of your normal routine, but you're getting back into it.
I'm definitely going to write myself a list. Life is too short to sit here moneysaving all the time, even though I know it's essential a lot of the time.
GwenxThough no one can go back and make a brand new start, anyone can start from now and make a brand new ending0 -
Hello lovelies
,
I too am all out of sync; it's thursday night & I have nothing alcoholic in my hand :undecided.
It's all very strange, but as I'm not drinking, I'm also not snacking so that has to be good, right ?
I am going shopping tomorrow as I have now £11.28p of Clothes Challenge 'earnings' to spend & I also need to get a couple of things for DD.
Sarah - I have to confess that inspite of your inspirational ebay debut, the majority of the large pile of stuff I have accumulated will now be going into the Help the Aged charity bag that (thankfully) arrived today
. I will keep any decent clothes for future sales, but just cannot be bothered with the toys, books, games & bric a brac that Help the Aged will kindly take away for free
Right now I just cant deal with any more tasks & demands on my time. My frugality howeve, has been noted at work, as I am the only person who takes their own lunch ( & ensures their caffeine levels are topped up for free
). 0 -
Yeah, I'm trying to get it sorted. My Mum has an illness that flares up sometimes and it did in January. I've just been very stressed and worried about her. I desperately want to make sure she's ok.
I'm trying to sort out some counselling for me, because I've realised I'm really not coping brilliantly with it and there isn't really anybody else. It will get better though. It always does, I just worry that one time it won't.
Sounds like you're going to have a fab time in the new shop Souk!
'Running to stand still'...that's exactly what I was thinking this morning. So annoying
Gwenx
Sounds like me. its so hard to worry about you Mum isn't it?
big hugs and I too shall make a list like that
hi all btw thank GOD it is Friday tomorrow
Love BuffyxxxxNevertheless she persisted.0 -

Hi all well I thought I was doing well to date. all & leic will not debit my charges on the 16th march when I get paid, so tomorrow they will be debited (£100) leaving me with £10 because I just had to use my current account card to put £12 in the car for petrol and my cc only had £4 on it and I did not understand why and when I checked my tesco statement they had debited £12 for a late payment which was not late. I had paid £44 min payment and the month before that I was paying £80 a month. Now the min payment says its £59 so I bet they have charged me for that.
they are closed now so will have to ring them tomorrow. they won't increase the limit over 2k I am at £1995 now. I have only had the card since august.
I don't know how I will get to work next week, off mon tues but working wed thur frid sat and off again following mon tues when I get paid.
so i have no money for shopping and have to stay in again.
Felt a bit tearful. got £20 on quido and pennies in the jar and ten pences and five pences. Brother has offered me cash but I dont want to borrow cause I will only have to pay it back and I don't want to owe money.
My friend owes me £50 but she has never paid it me back for 18 months. and even though I am too scared to ask for it I told her I was struggling and she never mentioned it.:(
so its sausages and fries tonight.
I will sleep on it and try other ways. £4.99 coming from quidco.
I only travel from bury to bolton.
cheap lunches needed for work thats pennies, stereo up for sale for £25.

I have just had my green flag renewal for breakdown cover £110 ! Its due the 26/3/10 and I have only just received the cashback of £20 when I got it last year! Anyway I have not got the cash to get a new one yet and my road tax is due in march so will only buy six months worth as I cant afford the £185.
you've probably done your breakdown cover but I used to work at GF, there are loads of ways of getting it cheaper, firstly when you get a insurance quote for you car check if it's included a lot of companys don't make a big deal about it, don't know if the pru or Halifx still do it free, some bank accounts used to do the basic cover but you can upgrade it, or if you do candis it's cheaper, and some credit cards do it as an addition, or look for a company that charges something like £35 a year, if you do need to use the cover you pay for it and claim it back. I'd remember more but I've had a drink and my mind is muddleded now.
As anyone been watching bbc1 at 9 can't remember the program name but some of the scenes were shot in Dewsbury, a friend at work was telling me today, well I've watched it but not noticed as many as her. Will watch like a hawk tonight. I'm a mine of useless info when it comes to breakdown cover should anyone wish yo know more.0 -

I have not got the breakdown cover yet and probably wont until april or may. My insurance is due in may so may ask about breakdown cover on that but I only pay each month by direct debit. I may use the aa basic cover and get cashback through quidco.
