Hey everyone,
((hugs)) to Bibbitybob - that sounds incredibly painful
TDQ -what a ridiculous way to go about elections ... perhaps our MPs should take note
Gwen - sorry, I have no idea about selling on Amazon
& it sounds like you should be in bed with a hot toddy. Hope you feel better soon ((hugs)) 0 -
I don't want to lose what meagre fitness I've built up hence still going although was intending to do a class or two (not spinning though have heard 2 per week is limit) on weekend but didn't go to recover from cold. It isn't too bad, I think the exercise distracts my body from my cold! (where is shrugging shoulders yellow man gone?)
TDQ - sounds most confusing. Should you ask people to design posters with a blank space for the name and at the last minute (under cover of darkness) fill them in?????
Gwen - yes, that is right place to find out info. Is super easy to list books, you can just enter ISBN and it will find the book for you. Worth while putting in blurb about state of book and fact that dispatch from UK (there are some US sellers which obv. take longer to deliver) and also put if book from non-smoking house.
Problem is that lots of books are averaging 1p - you won't make anything off this as Amazon fees come off it and after postage (which is fixed £2.75) you could even be worse off.
So don't bother with listing those. They also advise not to undercut lowest price - I think the big sellers regularly review the prices and so will drop accordingly and so just ends up pushing down prices. So where I've got a book which is worth a decent amount, I put the price in the middle - similar to others of same condition.
You can also try Green Metropolis which is similar to list - very easy and you will get more per book although I find it very slow (but then Amazon has been slow for me too!)
Bibbitybob - that sounds horrendous, hope you feel better soon. At least only one day to weekend.I've got my own flat :j:j
Now I have to pay the bills

Be careful though, don't make yourself more ill.
I just realised that my comment in my previous post might have read wrong. I meant 'did you say you were weighing in every month? Because I hope I haven't missed a post about your weightloss and an opportunity to congratulate you, because all this spinning and whatnot must be spinning your way to losing weight'. I don't even know if that makes sense now.
Dunno, I've only just noticed some of the smilies have disappeared...they were some of the best ones too...Though no one can go back and make a brand new start, anyone can start from now and make a brand new ending0 -

Thankyou makeup :A Lots of books are averaging 1p? No, if that's the case I won't list them. Don't know what I'll do with them, maybe car boot them
I might take a look at Green Metropolis, thanks.

I found my old uni books sold well on Amazon and some teaching "specialist books" as well so check what your books are going for
Hello all xxx work !!!!!, I look !!!!! and I would just like to point out that fit men can show up any time - Tonight at tutoring this ridiculously cute guy was introduced to me (new to picking up one of the kids has to check in) and there's me looking SHATTERED with ridiculous hair. Honestly it really brought it home to me that one should look one's best!
Hugs for everyone and sorry I am not around much
Sarah how is the flatmate situation?
xxxxNevertheless she persisted.0 -

Don't worry, I'm not an exercise junkie ....yet..... :rotfl:
Sorry, forgot to answer that bit. Yes had originally decided to weigh myself once a month but stumbled a bit and did it last week to see how I was getting on. I'm going to try and wait til beginning of Feb though as will be better I think. I've had issues in past with diets and things where I either don't lose or put on 1 - 2lb's and then I find it really demotivating so I'm hoping an overall loss of whatever per month will be better?I've got my own flat :j:j

Agree with Buffy, anything text book-like or specialist has higher prices. My best sale was a book I got on a customer service training course which I made about £12 from. Novels and paperbacks not so good.I've got my own flat :j:j

Yes it is a silly system, apparently the NUS are cracking down on campaigning this year. It's absurd as we have to ask people to design posters for "a campaign, without naming names" blah blah blah.... everyone knows that I'm running anyway and I'm constantly being stopped by people to discuss it so I've already broken the rules a million times but can hardly just tell them all to leave me alone when I need their votes! The size of a glory hole in an open pit should not be greater than the cross-section of the haul trucks that dump into it. Otherwise, you are bound to lose a truck, sooner or later. Source: Sergio Cha
I'm sorry for the demon I've become but you should be sorry for the angel you are not.0 -

Once a month is probably better. People fluctuate so much week to week, that weighing in every month is likely to be more meaningful. I need to seriously start losing some weight, my jeans are all too tight
Now I'm going on holiday later on this year aswell and I want to be lean and bronzed on the beach

I've got a few text books, but some of them I'll keep as they're useful for me in my current job. I think the first one I'll list might be a Spanish book I bought a few years ago and have never used
Why did I think it was a good idea for me to learn Spanish?? I hated languages at school where you were made to learn one, why did I think that I'd enjoy it learning voluntarily? *argh, where's the confused smilie gone*

ETA: Sarahb - please post and let us know how you're getting on otherwise we'll all be out looking for a NM to find out what's happened to you!Though no one can go back and make a brand new start, anyone can start from now and make a brand new ending0 -
TDQO, how annoying? I did a bit of student politics when I was at uni, but that wasn't yesterday!!!
What we all doing tonight? I'm in with a bit of Popstar/Operastar, ooh Darius yes please!
Joined Plenty of Fish last night, MUCH hotter guys than Gumtree and current FWB's not been around much lately. Fancy meeting a few more and having some fun after a very boring month. X'The road to a friends house is never long'0
