Yargo - Oh dear, well at least your nan got in touch. Souk's right, older people particularly tend not to think about how hurtful their comments can be at times and then they can be unbelievably stubborn about admitting they were in the wrong!!
Yay TDQ! Sounds good about the girl :j
I'm currently messaging a couple of blokes from POF. They both seem nice, can string a few sentences together, fairly good looking and have things in common. We'll see what happens...
Glad to see you back Sarahb and you haven't let NM get to you. You can definitely do this. One frugal year is not the end of the world and you will be so proud of yourself this time next year
Though no one can go back and make a brand new start, anyone can start from now and make a brand new ending0 -
Will keep all bits crossed for you...unless i have to attend to calls of nature of course:rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:
Yes please don't go rupturing anything on my behalf!
It was hilarious last night, this guy who is not physically blessed shall we say and has a reputation as a complete twit was desperately trying to get with this girl. Gave me a great excuse to talk to her as I took the mickey

Hey beautifuls,
I've been hanging around for what seems like hours just waiting to have a Gordon. DD started new club tonight & it doesnt finish until 9.30 & I'd offered to take her friend home afterwards so just got home 10 minutes ago. Wont be doing a lift every week as club is at the end of the road so I dont need to drive normally
.
Other than that I've had a productive day; deep cleaned the bathroom, kitchen, washed floors, hoovered carpets & rugs, dusted & polished everywhere so have definitely earned my G&T
Glad to hear you're back on track now sarah - it's only a year & you can do it :A. I've been adding up my pile of receipts & so far this month I have only spent £240. I'm really pleased as £35 of that came out of my savings funds so doesnt really count. So that's £205 on fuel, food & household items, essential bits for the home ( phone + charger), school expenses & parking. Obviously that doesnt include rent, bills or debt repayments but that is about as frugal as it gets.
Good luck with yor plenty of fishing Souk, hope it works out well for you, I might have to have another look myself, although a guy at work is dropping very obvious hints in my direction :eek:0 -
OOh I love POF! Chatting to a total pretty boy now (my fave) and one big tall guy who wants to lift me up! How exciting. Hope to get a few new FWB's out of this.'The road to a friends house is never long'0

Evening Lula, that's pretty darn frugal. I've had an expensive couple of weeks and it's only going to get worse as I have to pay for my election campaign, unless I can get someone to magically donate 100 blank t-shirts an a load of fabric paint! The size of a glory hole in an open pit should not be greater than the cross-section of the haul trucks that dump into it. I'm glad you get so much success out of POF, you're about the only person I've ever met who has!The size of a glory hole in an open pit should not be greater than the cross-section of the haul trucks that dump into it. Otherwise, you are bound to lose a truck, sooner or later. Source: Sergio Cha

You speak my mind TDQ :rotfl:I've just had a brief glance at ones in my area & it's the same old trash as always; semi literate ( & I'm being generous with 'semi') jerks who think that text speak & photos of them in vests & lots of bling is attractive _pale_

:eek:I have done my tax return. I have discovered that I owe £642 :eek:
The annoying thing about this is that I still have to do it as I was once self-employed but in this period I was PAYE entirely so assumed would have zero to pay.
After much paperwork analysing I discover that the tax office decided in Aug 08 to stop charging me Basic Rate tax on one of my jobs and give me the tax-free allowance.
So this basically meant I got two lots of tax-free allowance and therefore didn't pay enough tax.
I need to call them on Monday to sort this out, I want to pay through my 10/11 tax code rather than paying huge sum off at once as that is a chunk of my savings for my flat deposit
I thought my Jan was going well........:mad::mad::mad::mad:I've got my own flat :j:j
Now I have to pay the bills
And feed my interiors addiction
