I think I might have to do some kind of challenge to earn that money this year!!

I'm getting a bit extra at work for a short while as covering someone who is on sick leave plus my own work so that is good.

Plus I did win £2 voucher through GFK!!!
I've got my own flat :j:j

Now I have to pay the bills

Oh no makeup :( That's so rubbish

Why don't you join in the World Cup countdown? I'm doing it and aiming to make £1010 by sometime in July (I can't remember the exact date). I'd like to think I'll make £1010, but I know what I'm like and life and work tend to get in the way and it's not crucial, but just a goal to aim for (excuse the pun!). It is motivating though because you know that in July you'll have to declare your total :D
Though no one can go back and make a brand new start, anyone can start from now and make a brand new ending

Make up, how annoying:( I'm sure they will let you pay during the next tax year though, I seem to remember that happened to a friend of mine and she ended up paying £20 a week extra for a year to pay hers off, I think they are pretty amenable like that so hopefully it will be okay.

I have wine -despite saying no treats, it was the cheapest bottle in Tesco and I need cheering up and it was an NSD otherwise. I am going to have to sort something out re wine as I am going to have to cut back drastically for my health and my purse but I am not cutting it out totally. I have about £80 in various supermarket vouchers so I am going to see if there are any bargains to be had. Wish I had stocked up on M&S cava when it was such a bargain.:(

    Hey Souk,

glad your date went well, it's all quiet here, havent even left home today :o I confess to doing a bit of lurking on dating sites & there is not one guy who has attracted me enough to make me want to join up & contact him.

Good job really as I'm all about startig a new life & being frugal this year, so probably best I dont find anyone until my metamorphosis is complete - I am starting to 'think' about the guy at work more often than is good for me though :(

Best get my book & head to bed like a good frugal girl should :rotfl:

Hey, I'm just back in. Been out for a friend's birthday lunch and we then headed to the pub. It was a Wetherspoons so v. cheap indeed and is one of the nicer branches of theirs so was good.

Allthough I forgot my purse and had to borrow £30 off my friend. :o

My friend is due to have her baby on 1st Feb so we all had a guess at when the baby would arrive and if it was a boy or a girl. Will be funny to see who is closest!
