  • ok a bit of a boring update lol! Got my first bingoport redeem so that's the first amazon voucher for the expensive toaster (or maybe I'll be more sensible and put to Christmas??). Lol I'm always changing my goalposts!

Had another NSD, taking me to 3

Contacted cartridge world who couldn't help with the kind of cartrdges I use :( Back to the drawing board. Thanks for the idea though Pickle :)

New phone arrived, but I must have confused myself when ordering as I thought it was the same as I'd seen in the o2 shop and it wasn't. It's a really boggy basic one, so I'm annoyed at myself for getting all mixed up. However, I don't need or really want an all singing all dancing phone, so am trying to be kind to myself.

Sorted out the money - never seems simple to me. I need a better way to deal with it, but anyway so far have £150 to pay off the o/d and tomorrow will have another £50 so am going to pay that straight off tomorrow. :T Really surprised how much I managed to get, although about £80 was from the gas refund, which I'm not including in my target. Or maybe I'll just up my target to £380, oh what the heck, £400!! I'll go for it!

So I should come back tomorrow with a much lower overdraft, if not kick me up the bum!

  • Hi all,

been a bit quiet lately. Haven't had too much to report really! I'm doing abysmally on the NSD front this week, none so far. Hoping to have a NSweekend though. Will try my very best. I guess the main thing is that I am thinking about the spending.

Got some quidco received which I'm really pleased about - was some house insurance that I did when I started on this journey and was for just over £40. So the end of the month should see that hit my bank account. All for that greedy overdraft!

Still bingoport-ing, and should have another amazon voucher once it's been processed. Quite enjoying the playing there too and from someone who normally hates bingo that is something! I think it's something to do with it not being real money iykwim. Also joined Bingobritain and won £5 the other day so I'm even with what I put in. Anything else I might be lucky enough to win will be profit from there. Here's hoping!

Even though I've been spending every day I've been getting some good reduced bargains and ate some for my lunch. Always good with growing kids anyway!!

Anyway off to have a warming cup of tea - freezing here today!

  • I won £10 on BB earlier! Just going to wait to see if my last withdrawal went through ok before trying again. Also got a pinecone survey through so going to do that with a cuppa and some biccies :) And then I shall try and read through some other diaries to inspire me to keep up with my NSW/end.

  • Well we managed our NSw/end!! Really happy to have made it.

Hopefully tomorrow I'll do our grocery shop and not have to spend too much as we seem to have lots of stuff in. Mind you it always seems to be snack-y type stuff that bumps up our costs, not so much evening meals. What with cereals, yoghurts, milk, sandwich meat and bread, it all adds up before I even get to the eve meal. OH would think nothing in spending upwards of £5 a week on yoghurts, but I can't cope with that much! Maybe I'll have to give making plain yoghurt a go again.

Updated my sig as realised it didn't all add up! Hopefully going to withdraw from BB tomorrow, figured I ought to wait till Monday rather than do over the w/end, and also reached payout on virgin too so will withdraw from that tomorrow too. So hopefully an extra £15 to add there when it comes in.

  • I don't feel like I have anything interesting to say! But just checking in anyhow.

Got loads of reduced things again at the supermarket last night - 6pm seems a good time to go and on a Monday it's really quiet. I really can't stand it when it's busy. Got lots of fruit to keep us going, not so many good meat offers as last week though.

Hoping to have a NSD day today. AM gearing up for a couple of weeks without internet. We're coming off TalkTalk and going back to a BT line rental and hoping to get o2 broadband which might take a couple of weeks. Our current broadband ends tomorrow! I need to think of lots of debt busting ideas to keep me going while offline. Not sure what though  Lots of batch cooking? Although I do have the iPhone (OH's) that I can look on, but not good for scratchies and bingo I don't think. Can keep up with online banking though so that's good.

I was hoping to get to payout on BP for another amazon voucher before tomorrow, but not sure I'll do it.

I'm going to have a look at some of my spreadsheets and think of some mini goals to aim for :D

  • Yes, keep plugging away - you're doing fabulously on bringing in the extras. Taking a leaf from your book now and trying hard to do surveys though think bingo and scratchcards just might tip me over the edge......
