my partner has just come off phone to dundee it is total ban due to a "certain coupon on the market" he called as he went to a store in plymouth and was told at 3pm they were no longer accepting coupons for payment of shopping!0

what do people actually say when they ring their store for clarification on their policy.
I've sent a letter twice asking, included a stamped self addressed envelope an they've never even replied to meseptember wins - toshiba laptop, timotei shampoo & conditioner, mccains games, pimms picnic blanket.
october wins - grants tumblers, £20 petrol voucher, sega console, iphone
novembers wins - £50 on walkers rainy day, £50 itunes voucher

Just got back from my local T's Extra (Nottingham area) and everything has changed there as from this afternoon. Guess it'll be Asda from now on as T's has got too expensive.0

Just been to my Extra and as of 3pm today moc only if buying product! Checked with SA before scanning shopping and he said really sorry but changed at 3pm today, I said is it OK if I leave it all then and he said yes of course you are my third customer that's left it all in the last hour :eek::eek::eek: Vote with yer feet I'm afraid and if you are lucky enough to be able to shop around do so.....I only have T's and a biggish Morrisons so I guess they will be seeing more of me, and, I guess I get my 'life' back.......:rolleyes::p Have a good [STRIKE]Tesc[/STRIKE][STRIKE]Asd[/STRIKE]WHO? day - Err....I still wish Mozzies had a better website even though they are now on MyS!

A friend of mine went to our local and they had these A4 yellow leaflets on every till advising that a coupon will only be accepted if the product is purchased now.
I rang Dundee and the 1st person I spoke to wasn't aware of any changes but, as it happens so often with Dundee, the call was cut off and I had to ring again. When I spoke to a 2nd call staff she initially tried to tell me it was at the Store's discretion; I politely disagreed and eventually she went off to check with the Store. From what I was advised, as per the recent review by HO, the stores have been given the discretion to refuse coupons if items relevant to the coupons are not purchased. This doesn't seem to be across all Tescos from what I understood... but how many stores are going to accept coupons now that they have been given the discretion not to?!:eek::eek::eek:
