Looking for more doom and gloom? - check out today's newspaper thread - they think it's all over.Ageing is inevitable - maturing is optional0

I think if it is happening nationwide there will be a lot of trolleys full of shopping left at the checkout
That will keep the trouts busy putting it back on the shelves, hopefully they will be too busy to be too happy that they have got their way and we can't use our coupons
Be thankful for what you have because it could all be taken away tomorrow.;)

I don't know whether to dare try my Tesco's. Are you going to still go to yours??0 -

Yep, just called my Tesco and they have amended their policy. As of 3.00pm today they are only taking coupons if you buy the product. I am down on the south coast so it looks like it really is a national thing. Sigh.
Not quite sure how I will be managing my budget now.
Thanks to everyone on this thread who has worked so hard to help us all save money. Off to go and stare longingly at my pile of coupons now........0 -
Now that coupon policy no longer valid at T - I can come out & playI went to Asda this afternoon (haven't been in there for several months). IMHO prices were lot cheaper than Tesco's across all product lines, so as soon as it is official, I will be jumping ship.
Me too... I prefer to shop at Asda :rotfl:don't know why, but I don't mind paying for my groceries there - maybe the staff are more friendlier than T.hillybilly22 wrote: »Looking for more doom and gloom? - check out today's newspaper thread - they think it's all over.
It is now....
OMG why '3pm' precicely?? what did they say??
All I got from my usual check out lady is - don't know we were told not to accept coupons from HQ, I asked her where is the HQ, she said - she doesn't know.
I think the best thing for those of you who hasn't done your shopping yet, is to call your branch & ask them before you waste your petrol going there ever again.
Now that I know 1 down, I have 1 more to go - so I shall call them & see whats the situation - most probably the same.RIP my dear dear parent : Mum aged 62 (17/5/1990) & Dad aged 89 (23/1/2012)0 -
Before going to your T's you could always ring them up and say you've heard rumours there's been a change of policy and would like some clarification please to help you decide which supermarket you're going to take your custom to.Ageing is inevitable - maturing is optional0
