Stopped lurking to make this post....been to T's this afternoon, used £21 of mocs with no probs...spoke to deputy manager ,knew of no changes...spoke to checkout supervisor... knew of no changes....spoke to great SA who I go to most of time...knew of no changes...chatted to self scan cashier who was shopping with husband, I do not drink but as we were talking of coupons and offers/promotions and her hubby had been buying the spirits at £10 so I offered to up my intended spend of £25 to use F/Food to £30 and get a bottle of gin for them...he gave me the tenner, I got more stuff and we were all happy...I asked about the 'Team5 notice' and told them what I had read on here, was told no mention of changes to moc uses on it....so def not national at this moment in time.....I did PM Princess Coupon and ask her to post this info for me, but she must be out shopping, so thought I'd 'unlurk' for this one post...hope this info is of use....0

i can see tommorows headline
TESCOS LAYS OFF THOUSANDS AS SHOPPERS GO ELSEWERE BECAUSE THEY NO LONGER TAKE COUPONS
I HOPE THE POLICY WILL BE U CAN SPEND 25% OR 50% OF YOUR SHOPPING WHY OH WHY DID THIS NOT AHPPEN BEFORE AS ATLEAST THE SHOP WAS GETTING CASH AND NOT ALL COUPONS0 -
I know I am going to make myself unpopular saying this but I think we have Martin to blame a lot of this.couponmania wrote: »Guys.... It's over...
I have seen the official e-mail today that my manager has shown me - its a national change which takes effect from 15:00 today - from the look of the e-mail which was sent to the store managers account it has been sent to all stores. It blames the reccent publicisation on both TV and radio for making the policy 'no longer sustainable'. A full and updated policy will follow with corporate signage to inform customers however paper signage must be displayed at every checkout until this is signed off and delivered to stores.
In short if you want to use the coupon in ANY tesco store you have to buy the product0 -

My nearest Waitrose will only accept coupons if you have bought the product.
IMHO Asda are far cheaper with more daily deals than Tesco according to all the newspaper adverts I have seen recently.0 -
Would it not be helpful if we put down the stores we had been to today that had stopped taking coupons. This would save peoples petrol and phone bills ?0
