  • Glad you enjoyed it too, Krider!:D

'Sneaky overtaing manouvers' sounds interesting! We have a couple of teenagers at the Wimbledon parkrun who have such techniques...in their case it involves a deft little shortcut through the middle of the course.

I'm sure your 'manouvers' were far more honourable than that though?;)

I'm sure the little gremlins will be gone shortly!:D

  • Perfectly legit manoeuvres of course  :p These ones just involved loops around people into nettles or long grass thus increasing distance and effort of wading through things!

Now if we'd planned it better, lopping a K or so off... :rotfl:

Well done Krider and Simply, great times esp considering all the manoeuvering you had to do :D

Hannah, I love my Garmin (305) not something I would have bought myself- but was a birthday pressie, now would be lost without it. I used to get so fed up having to map runs online after to see how far I had gone. And was very vital when I ran on holiday and got lost- as took me back to start. Def not vital but with christmas coming up, maybe worth adding to list?

2.5 miles for me this morning in rain, pretty slow as went out with sis who hasn't been running long, but good to get out. Training for 10km starts Tuesday really looking forward to trying some faster but shorter runs after marathon training :j

    What a lovely blustery day!:p

Becky was going well until we were approaching the end of the initial 10 miles (with another 2 x 1 mile loops planned) when a bit of cramp set in at the same time as a very strong gust started.

It was strong enough to be almost impossible to run into...so we called it a day at that point.

    Enjoyable run though incorporating 520ft ascent/520ft descent....:D:D

Its all building up nicely in NY for another Paula victory.

First half in 1:14:03 with six still in contention. Off such a slow pace you would expect Paula to pull away in the second half.

    We will see.......

Yeah great run from US runner. I love watching the marathon, really gives me a kick up the bum, I'll have to watch again in 2 weeks to get started again.
