Only slightly quicker than last week but I can really feel the legs coming back from all the hard work....should hopefully come good ready for next week's half marathon at Lancaster.:D

I spent most of the race running in a group of 4, consisting of me plus the 3 leading ladies. Its not often that you get such a closely competed event at the front of the Ladies' race and it was great to see it developing at such close quarters!

Becky is happy with approx. 26:30 with sections run at sub 25:00 pace....so after a decent amount of training this week that is a healthy outcome.:D

Edit: Becky's time was actually confirmed as 26:17 (8:28/mile).

  • Mmmm pumpkin soup :D

I'm 156 Simply - and surely you will be having me eat dust with your marathon kickback!? I was planning on this kickback to drag me round to a good time as I try and keep up :rotfl:

I'll be wearing black Ronhill attire (not cos of halloween - it's the only long sleeved wicking top I have :p) and New Balance trainers.

    [Edit]
Sorry for the slow response - been out and about doing chores etc.
  • Marathon kickback? I think I've got marathon eat everything in sight and feel lazy!! :rotfl:

It's been chores and retail for me too today - eugh the shops were busy. Not sure about attire yet; I was going to go for long tights (to protect my legs) but think it's too warm for that. Decisions, decisions. :D

Oh well, back to my warm up session - that'll be the ironing then ;)

Well done with your runs Rich & Becky

Enjoy yours tonight Krider & Simply, can't wait to see the pics, how many runners are there?

    Linda, love it!!

Have felt a bit lost today as I would normally have my LSR but plans changed cos a friend wanted to come running with me so am running tomorrow with her instead, I can't remember the last time I've not run on a Saturday!

Should I think about buying a Garmin? I am serious about keeping up with my running and wanting to improve, is this something I should be buying? Any thoughts/advice would be great, thanks xxx
