Ok so it's catch up time now - I've tried logging into the new shiny site but I don't think it likes me
I ran a cheeky 10 miles early on Thursday before driving up to Milton Keynes for a Seminar. Up at the crack of dawn on Friday and ran 6 miles - very uninspiring as I was running within the Campus. It was exactly one mile from the block I was staying in to the entrance gates so I scampered up and down there a few times.
Unfortunately the catering was pretty poor and after a dismal curry on Thursday evening and an unpalatable plate of scrambled eggs and kippers for brekkie on Friday morning I survived the rest of the stay on a bowl of soup, a slice of cheesecake and fruit. I had nothing else until I bought a ham sandwich at the services on the way home late afternoon yesterday.
I knew that 22 miles wasn't on the cards today so did a nice slow 12 miler and really enjoyed it. I'm a few miles down on my training plan but am pleased to have salvaged something out of a difficult week.
Phew, that was a long post - sorry!!!2021 MFW No.18 £9900/£10,000Mortgage at 21.07.20 £178,999 Mortgage today £150,8910 -
Not a bad week at all, Simply. Still nearly 40 miles and 9 weeks to go......
And dont worry, you didnt catch MK on a bad day...it is ALWAYS uninspiring.:p
Regards eRunning, just keep reading for now and I'm sure Becky will sort it out....but shes back on Tues not Monday. Its definitely not insurmountable because 10 people have successfully logged in now.:DGt NW 1/2 Marathon 21/2/2010 (Target=1:22:59) (6:20/mile) 1:22:47 (6:19):j:j

Hmmm, By the time I cross the finish line you guys will be nearly home!:rotfl:
I broke in my new Lunarglide trainers today. But they didn't make me glide along so much as puff and pant as usual. 4 miles in 49mins 58secs. Oh, and heartrate got to 195bpm today - OH says I shoud make an appointment with the nurse and get it checked out.Good wine needs to breathe, if it stops breathing try mouth to mouth.0 -

At least you're keeping up with the banter then!;)

You'll be fine, just ask Linda....nobody really cares who runs what times at parkruns. Its just an excuse to have a banter with like minded people.:D
195:eek:
That would be me out for the count. But dont worry too much, there are plenty runners that regularly record readings of that sort of level and, as you probably know, triathletes certainly do.
However, it does show that you were pushing far too hard. Take it more easily (perceived effort wise) and you should make more progress.
Having said that, getting checked out by your GP cant do any harm.....Gt NW 1/2 Marathon 21/2/2010 (Target=1:22:59) (6:20/mile) 1:22:47 (6:19):j:j

Thats the thing - 4 miles in 50 minutes isn't pushing it - and that included 3 small walking breaks when I started feeling out of breath. It's the first run I've done this week - missed running club due to work meetings this week so I just didn't have time to go out. It's been rubbish since christmas really between work, the snow and being illGood wine needs to breathe, if it stops breathing try mouth to mouth.0
