Morning all. Feel rested after the weekend off, but surprisingly I didn't feel particularly sore. still, energy is recharged and I'm off to do 5 miles in a minute. So my plan for this week is:
M 5
T 9
W 9
Th 0
F 9
Sa 5K (Parkrun)
S 20
Seems weird to have a rest day on Thursday, especially after having 2 days off this weekend. But I'm trying to get back into the routine of doing my long runs on Sunday and having my rest days on Monday, so the only other option is to have 7 consecutive running days, with next Monday off. What does everyone think to that?!
Well done on the PB, becky. I'm not jealous really, you deserve it

Glad you enjoyed your weekend off
To be fair I am not running a parkrun this weekend as I am on strict orders not to run Great Yarmouth and get ahead of Rich in the table :rotfl::rotfl:
So I suspect if you pop to argos and buy a stopwatch you could easily knock 4 seconds off your pb anyway
Good luck with the plan for the week

Thanks. But do you think I should have a rest day on the Thursday, or do 7 days, followed by a Monday rest day? I'm planning 20 miles on Sunday.
I will get a stopwatch, but I'm trying to find one I can do splits on easily.
Also, parkrun the day before Lydd half marathon on 14th March - good or bad idea?
Finally, forgot to say great running this weekend everyone, well done.Running Club targets 20105KM - 21:00 21:55 (59.19%)10KM - 44:00 --:-- (0%)Half-Marathon - 1:45:00 HIT! 1:43:08 (57.84%)Marathon - 3:45:00 --:-- (0%)0 -
Its good to be even close to you because you are a good runner and last year I was 9% away! Now you've lost a little and I've gained some so I'm happy with that
I'm sure you'll be smashing me away once your training gets going so I'm pleased with my third place!

You'll be fine doing a parkrun before the half - if you're worried ease of by 15 seconds a mile and it'll feel really relaxed
I woulndt plan the rest days too much - if you need one on Thursday and Monday take them both - if you get to Thursday and feel okay keep going
Splits - thats what your heads for

Fair enough, that's what I'll do. I'll see how I feel. I'll be flexible with the rest days.
Splits - Yeah, maybe I should work the grey cells a bit

You can tell when I am making this face *crumples up features except for one raised eyebrow* that I am trying to work out mine

Thu 18/2 3.26 miles 31:02 (9.31/mile)
Fri 19/2 6.01miles 58:02 (9:39/mile)
Sat 20/2 6.07 miles 59:15 (9:45/mile)
Sun 21/2 8 miles 1:20:11 (10:01/mile) LSR undulating
Mon 22/2 4.23 miles 45:05 (10:40/mile) hills
A new route for me this evening to include more hills, and I found a mega one! Not too concerned about time as was trying to find the route in the dark and I've not been up some of these roads before so wasn't sure about the gradient. So know I know what to expect I can concentrate a bit better next time.
