Are you resting today Idio and Rich?

Yup, rested today with a little (precautionary) tiger balm and massage from the OH. Will play footy tomorrow then have a go at running again on Weds, weather permitting...

I'd say I've been eating too, but that's a given these days, innit...

    :)

Is that your first '6 in a row' then?

If it is, you're coping with it very well.:D

First 6 of new training plan which I'm really pleased with so far, off out at 0900 when all the school traffic has gone.

I think the little matter of your longest ever training run at a fair old pace is going to send your body into a kind of mini shock so just go with the flow...remember food is GOOD so nothing wrong with being a little piggy for a while.:D

Dont worry - I often have funny stomach problems so at least I am robust :D

Edit: you know Rich I did wonder if it was caused by that rather than by bad food...

Should be fine by tomorrow

Edit : It seems he's miffed with me as well so you're in good company.:p

I'm pretty sure it is tbh.

If you have an effect you always look for the most likely cause and in your case the 24 miles is way more likely than any dodgy food scenario.

Remember when I first returned to 20+ milers and the body went into a kind of shock a few hours later until I worked out exactly what it was wanting.

However, the same workload is not an issue once it becomes routine.

Since 24 miles is not routine for you there is bound to be some sort of reaction....and hence the benefit of getting it in as a training run!

  • Well done on the hills Ev - I've been in a car on the roads round Prestatyn so I know what you're talking about

Hope you feel better soon Becky.

I am escaping from work a bit early today to attempt a long run while there's still a bit of daylight about.
