Just popped in to get some inspiration, as I am off to do my thirteen miler and I am feeling rather too comfy.
Just thinking that in the summer I was running about the same times as Becky now I am way behind. Well done on your improvement you must be loving your running. Are you getting worried yet Rich??

KMS - That was a really good grind by the sounds of it but, as you know, the deeper you have to dig the more benefit you're likely to get. And 22 miles is no mean feat at any time.........
Simply - Its good to see you've got the distance back in your legs. There is no surer killer of distance ability than speedwork, but you can only learn what the acceptable level of sppedwork is for you through trial and error. must feel good to get a solid 18 miler under the belt again. Although it is only 14 days since you did 22.5 miles....its not as though you've had any downtime!:D
Mascott - Yep, she's closing in quickly, but I aim to make her work for it before she gets to overtake and leave me eating dust...;) Good luck with the 13!!!Gt NW 1/2 Marathon 21/2/2010 (Target=1:22:59) (6:20/mile) 1:22:47 (6:19):j:j

I shouldn't admit this, but I stole a pair of my husbands Calvin Klein boxers, they're really soft cotton - they were bliss to run in, and so warm too! Eek! I hope he doesn't read this!!!0

I like the Nike (ladies) briefs, very comfy for running in.
...Linda xxIt's easy to give in to that negative voice that chants "cant do it" BUT we lift each other up.
We dont count all the runners ahead of us & feel intimidated.
Instead we look back proudly at our journey, our personal struggle & determination & remember that there are those that never even attempt to reach the starting line.0 -
Ok...........all done and very happy. I was secrectly hoping to beat 2 hrs, but I didnt watch my time until the last 2 miles. Overall it was very consistant and i felt strong at the end, recording a time the same as my half in Sept only then I felt rubbish at the end!
