Well that's the last of my LSR's and the end of week 14 of 15 :D

My legs felt tired and I was over analysing every tweak and twinge but I assume that's normal at this stage. So as long as I can remain illness and accident free this week then I'll be making my debut marathon appearance next Sunday :j

tq - I was thinking on the way round about tapering. I came to the conclusion that whilst we were following our schedules we were constantly challenging ourselves with new distances, new weekly totals, etc and expected to feel tired. As novice taperers we assumed that the runs would feel easier when in actual fact we are still tired and that feeling is not going to disappear overnight. It will be interesting to get a more experienced runners view on this. Rich? Anyone??

Enjoy your rest day today Hannah.

Im really not feeling this running thing anymore, must be that i nolonger have a goal. My goal was the VLM, and now i dont have one.

Will have to look for one, as ive not really been out since the 20th September. The times ive been out, they have been little runs that i have given up about the 4mile mark.

A few more weeks like this, and ill be handing back my running trainers, and taking out a larger waist pair of jeans.

Hi All, I've not been out since Tuesday! Been away with work and then went out last night with OH, had a fab night but I just can't run with a hangover!! I'm going to get my !!!! kicked if I don't run tomorrow now!! I know what you mean about having a goal to aim for - I have - The Kilomathon in March but I keep thinking Oh, thats ages away, I have loads of time to train for that, and then before I know it, it will be here!

I did 6 miles this morning. Only 7 days till Harewood 10K! Really quite looking forward to it :) Didn't feel too bad this morning being 6 weeks pg I thought I'd be really really tired, but I was ok!

  • Well done on the run Saz; it looks as if you're going to be fine for the 10k next week :D

Alias - have you thought about the Brighton Marathon? Entries are closed at the moment but they're offering refunds to people who got into VLM and are going to open up applications again in November. It's not such a big event as London but it will still be a field of around 12,000.

Ha, ha just wanted to quote that so you couldn't delete it before Rich sees it :rotfl::rotfl: Not that I'm a trouble maker or anything!! ;) Are you selling tickets for the event - reckon a few of us would love to come along to watch The Great Race unfold.

Hi mascott - keep with it and you'll be giving UK a run for his money soon. Sorry to hear about the fatality - kind of takes the edge off an event doesn't it?
