Hehe Stop getting as cynical as me, UK....thats my territory.:p:p
But, as you say, its a nice little number when you eventually get 50,000 people to pay a wad of cash to 'queue jump' and end up in the same position as when they started....mugs!:rotfl:Gt NW 1/2 Marathon 21/2/2010 (Target=1:22:59) (6:20/mile) 1:22:47 (6:19):j:j

I've just PM'd Rich about a potential Park Run in Bradford  :T
Would you be interested too Becky?
...Linda xx
As I said earlier, you'd be pushing at an open door in terms of getting Bradford Council to cooperate as they seem to be just about the most pro-running council around at the moment.
The main planning issue I would envisage is the size of the park - the perimeter path is only about 1 mile in length. 3 lap courses are not really advisable because of the, erm how can I put this delicately, lack of courtesy shown by a lot of slower runners to the lead runners. The upside is that the paths are very wide so it may be possible to design something similar to the Leeds course.Gt NW 1/2 Marathon 21/2/2010 (Target=1:22:59) (6:20/mile) 1:22:47 (6:19):j:j

Edit... whooppps dident see the 105 page... was looking at page one all this time... sorry rich... walks off head held low......Cabbage Patch 09 - 10m - 1hr 06mLeicester 09 -1/2 - 1h 26m0 -
Rich are you trying to say the slowbies get in the way because they show a lack of race etiquette? I think this is a real problem with some of the parkruns actually - Leeds is awful because the first section is downhill so everyone zooms off and then I have to go onto the grass to overtake because nobody stays on the left - very irritating I do have to say!0
